Part Three: Revelations of Evil

Chapter Seven

       "What the hell is that monstrosity?  Is this what was planned by Fong all along?" GWB asked as he watched Space Godzilla in a mental battle with Voguron.  Awsome 1 was obliged to answer.  "No.  Fong wanted an army of GINO clones to do his bidding.  Whoever summoned this monster must be vastly powerful.  We've got to find its weakness!"

       A deep booming voice echoed across the base.  "Voguron has no weakness!  He is 'The First', the true emperor of all kaiju!  My business associate has informed me that he is unstoppable, but just to be sure, I've decided to help him destroy you all!"  The agents turned to the direction of the voice. 

       It was Fong. 

       And he was piloting an enormous mechanical version of Godzilla.

       "I'd like you all to meet Kiryu, my personal war beast!"  The silver robot roared as it advanced.  "It is the ultimate weapon, and my personal chariot!  And now I will show you its true potential!"  Kiryu's eyes lit up and a laser beam blasted Gigan in the back.  He turned to acknowledge the presence of this new menace, and screeched a reply.

       Fire Rodan had managed to regain his composure.  He flew into the sky and fired a uranium heat beam at Kiryu's chest.  The attack hit, but didn't even scratch the armor of the robot.  In response, Kiryu fired a few shoulder missiles at Fire Rodan, who swerved out of the way.  Kiryu swung its enormous tail and batted Fire Rodan to the ground.  He continued beating on the helpless kaiju until Gigan ran over and tackled the robot to the ground.

       Fong was knocked from his seat.  He quickly got up and used the controls to get Kiryu to stand.  "Damn it!  Why can't my inventions ever work properly?"  Kiryu proceeded to uppercut Gigan, knocking the cyborg to ground.  Gigan returned to his feet and laser blasted Kiryu in the face to little effect.  The robot roared again and fired a beam from its mouth at Gigan.  The attack knocked Gigan backwards.  As he struggled to get up, he noticed Kiryu's chest plate open up.  Fong smiled from his protective driver's seat in Kiryu's neck.  "Absolute Zero Cannon, fire!"  An ice beam swirled from the opening and caught Gigan off-guard.  In an instant the cyborg stopped moving.  He had been frozen solid.

       "Noooo!" G64 yelled.  He ran towards Gigan, but GWB held him back.  "Are you crazy?  You can't help him now!  No one can!"  They both turned around when they heard Fudge muttering in an ancient tongue.  The agent's eyes were closed and he was looking up to the sky.  "What is he doing?" asked Fury.  GWB frowned.  "I don't know, but I don't think prayer is gonna help us now!"

       Suddenly Fudge's eyes flashed open.  He held his hands up into the air and a bolt of lightning hit him.  When the smoke cleared, Fudge had disappeared.  "Oh great!  He left us?" yelled GWB.  A chirp from Aqua Mothra caused the agents to run over to the fallen kaiju.  Its blood-soaked body began to glow.  Without warning, Aqua Mothra's body rose into the sky.  It began to flash and morph into a stunning rainbow-colored moth.

       In their heads, the agents heard a voice calling to them.  "I had no choice but to merge myself with Aqua Mothra."  It was Fudge.  "My spirit is trapped within Mothra's body, and the process cannot be reversed.  I am now one with Spirit Mothra."

       The giant kaiju flew gracefully over to the hurt kaiju.  A gentle spray of powder from Spirit Mothra's wings enveloped Fire Rodan, renewing his energy.  Kiryu roared angrily.  "What is that thing?" Fong asked.  A voice entered his head.  "You trained me in the dark arts, Master Fong.  You taught me to be one with kaiju, but you have betrayed your teachings!  Now I must defeat you!"  A look of horror was plastered onto Fong's face.  "Fudge?  It can't be!  How could you merge with your kaiju?"  He turned Kiryu around to face Spirit Mothra.  "It makes no difference.  I will destroy you like I will the others."

       The voice of Fudge echoed across the battlefield.  "You will no longer have the privilege of life, Kirby Fong!  It is time that you meet your maker, and he won't be very forgiving!"
