The War On Infogrames
Part Three: Revelations of Evil

Chapter Eight

"I cannot believe it!  Samrong is your son?!" Black16 asked Drakken.  "What else have you been up to since you arrived in this dimension?"

Drakken laughed.  "There are things that even your precious Elohem cannot fathom.  I told you I plan to bring the great Levah back from the Abyss.  He will consume this pathetic planet and all life on it so that everything can be assimilated in our grand design!  Even now Voguron is ready to absorb the souls of this stupid human race you intend to protect!"  The sky suddenly darkened.  Outside, the moon turned pitch black.  Emergency lights in the base turned on, illuminating the entire area in an eerie red light.

"Why can't you see that it is our destiny to rule over all life?  It is what Elohem should have done: take control of everything he created!  Levah knew this, yet your god decided to give freedom to his life's work!  And for what?  So that they could poison their worlds and other life forms with pollution, malice, greed, and suffering?  Levah will put an end to all of that, yet you hesitate to see the harsh reality of it all!"

Black16 gritted his teeth.  "Your master is mad with a lust for power!  The Kaiju Wars you began only worsened the situation!  I will never allow you to open the Abyss, nor will you consume any more souls for your twisted experiments!"  He stood ready to attack.  "This ends here and now, Selatoth!"  His right arm morphed into a blade, glowing silver with energy.

Samrong looked into Drag's eyes as the agent's arms were bound behind his back by the last remaining kaijunoid.  "You are a beaten man.  It's too bad you caused us so much trouble.  Now I'll have to send you to the Abyss!"  He lunged at Drag with the Sword of the Damned.  Drag saw the attack coming and flipped his kaijunoid captor over his head, the blade piercing the wrong victim.  The beast dissolved into nothingness with a horrible scream.  Drag picked up his twin sabers.  Suddenly they began to vibrate, much to Drag's surprise.  The blades flew from his hands and merged into one awesome sword.

Drag looked to Black16, whose free hand was glowing mysteriously.  "That sword is called Ragnarok.  It is strong enough to come to blows with the Sword of the Damned."  Drag nodded his head in approval and faced Samrong.  The Captain was staring at his foe.  No emotion could be seen on his face.  A blast of wind blew into the room, and Samrong's golden blonde hair moved as though it were alive.  All four combatants waited in silence.

       Drakken made the first move.

Charging at Black16, Drakken intended to cut his foe in half with an enormous serrated broadsword.  Black16 teleported behind him and kicked Drakken into the nearby wall.  He grabbed Drakken by his cape and tossed him across the room.  The wall thundered as Drakken's body slammed into it.  The villain dusted himself off and removed the cape.  The garment dropped to the floor in a heap as Drakken cracked his neck.  With lightning-fast speed, a left hook from out of nowhere met Black16 in the jaw.  He dropped to the ground.

Samrong also threw off his cape.  He swung the Sword of the Damned at Drag's head, who parried the attack with Ragnarok.  The Captain swung again and again, each time blocked by Dragitron.  In anger he rushed at Drag, who sidestepped the attack, tripped Samrong, and elbowed him in the back of the head as Samrong fell face-first onto the ground.  The Captain got up slowly and screamed with all his might at his foe.  Drag roundhouse-kicked him in the stomach, followed by an uppercut to his chin.  Samrong fell backwards, nearly out the window.

Black16 returned to his feet.  He ran swiftly at Drakken and swung his blade arm with all his might.  The weapon met Drakken's arm guard and bounced off harmlessly.  Drakken grabbed Black16 by the throat with his free hand and lifted him up.  "The difference between you and I is that I am ready to make sacrifices to further my goals.  True, we were both once living beings, but my compassion for life disappeared when I was reborn.  That's what makes me your superior."  He held out his other hand, fingers outstretched and palm outward.  A black light erupted from his hand and consumed Black16's head.  Drakken let go of his neck and the body dropped to the floor.  He turned his attention to Drag.  "Now to finish off the other flea."

Drag was ready to finish off Samrong, but the Captain begged for forgiveness.  Drag hesitated, but that was the opening Drakken looked for.  With a blast of energy from his hand, Drakken sent Drag sprawling onto the floor.  Samrong walked over to Drag, ready to plunge the Sword of the Damned into his heart.  Drakken looked on with glee, but his expression of happiness quickly turned to sorrow.  A blinding light pierced through his chest armor, revealing Black16's blade arm.  He struggled to speak, but Black16 answered the question that was swarming through Drakken's mind.  "It helps to be able to phase out different body parts at a moment's notice."

Samrong stared in horror and took his focus off of Dragitron.  Tears welled up in his eyes and he turned back to Drag to finish him off, but it was too late.  Ragnarok had already run him through.  Samrong dropped the Sword of the Damned as Drag got to his feet.  Captain Samrong looked at his chest armor, stained red with his blood.  He slowly began backing up to the window.  With a last evil sneer, his body fell lifeless through the plated glass.
