The War On Infogrames
Part Three: Revelations of Evil

Chapter Nine

Black16 released his hold on Drakken.  He walked over to Dragitron and both looked out the window.  They saw Samrong's body lying there, devoid of life.  They turned to face Drakken.  The megalomaniac was having trouble breathing.  "You killed my only son!  The only thing that meant ANYTHING to me!  I should have done this a LOOOOONG time ago!"

His body began to disappear.  Black16 stared in horror.  "Oh no!  We've got to get out of here!"  He grabbed Dragitron and teleported outside the base.

At that moment, Voguron and Space Godzilla were still struggling in a telekinetic war.  Suddenly, Space Godzilla landed on his feet.  Voguron's hold had been broken.  Space Godzilla roared and dropped Voguron's body onto the base.  The enormous building collapsed and exploded, taking out all of the support structures like a domino effect.  When the smoke cleared, nothing was left but rubble.

Meanwhile, Black16 and Drag met up with the others.  The heroes related their findings to each other until everyone was caught up.  Suddenly a large tentacle rose up from the ground and wrapped itself around Space Godzilla legs.  The form of Voguron erupted from the ground.  A corona beam destroyed Space Godzilla left shoulder crystal.  The kaiju roared in pain.

A loud laughter mixed in with Voguron's roar surprised everyone except Black16.  "He actually did it.  Selatoth has merged with 'The First'." He looked around at his compatriots.  "Our good friend Drakken is now a virtual god."

GWB cocked his guns.  "So this is bad, right?"  Black16 shook his head.  "No, this is worse than ever before.  It will take a sufficient amount of energy to seal Voguron away again.  I don't have that kind of power."  Fury looked sad.  "There has to be some way!"

A blast of nuclear energy caught Voguron in one of his tentacles, shredding it to pieces.  Voguron turned in anger and came face-to-face with Meltdown Godzilla.

Fury was utterly surprised.  "Godzilla!  What are you doing!  You're too hurt!"  Black16 held him back.  "Your kaiju is dying.  He's ... "  His eyes widened.  "Oh no.  Call back your kaiju.  Get as far away from this base as possible!"  They all began to run, but G64 stayed behind with Black16.  "What's going on?" he asked insightfully.  Black16 looked into G64's eyes.  "When Meltdown Godzilla dies, the resulting radiation will kill all life on this planet unless I try and contain it.  Run!"

Spirit Mothra had just finished freeing Gigan from his icy tomb when he realized what was happening.  He motioned for Gigan to assist Space Godzilla, and proceeded to fire all of his weapons at Kiryu.  The robot began to short-circuit.  Fong fought at the controls but they stopped responding.  In anger he pressed a red button, and his control "bubble" ejected from Kiryu's neck and flew over the horizon.

When all of the kaiju and avatars were safely out of harm's way, Black16 waited for the moment to arise.  Meltdown Godzilla was beginning to feel the effects of his radiation.  His skin began to melt off of his body.  Voguron attempted to lash out with his remaining three arms, but they melted as soon as they touched Godzilla.

Meltdown Godzilla let out one more roar, and Fury could sense his kaiju's pain.  Tearfully, he quietly said goodbye.

Then it happened.  A bright flash enveloped the area, causing everyone to shield their eyes.

The bright orange glow dissipated.  The avatars looked toward the remains of the last base of Infogrames.

An odd bubble contained what remained of Godzilla's radioactive fallout.  Black16 was controlling it.  With one hand he held up the bubble, and with the other, he called for the Sword of the Damned.  The indestructible weapon flew from the rubble into the bubble, and everything disappeared.

Black16 breathed a sigh of relief.  The eternal evil had been sent back to the Abyss.
