THE THREE KEYS
Part One: The Key of Spirit

Chapter 7: The Wyrm Jade

The room was enormous.  Dragon statues adorned the walls, and a strange stone table sat in the middle of the room.  Atop the table was an egg-shaped object, and it glowed a fluorescent green.  "Finally!  The Key of Spirit is ours!" exclaimed Dracatron.  He headed over to the object, ready to grab it.

Suddenly the adjacent wall opened and revealed GWB, Drag, and G64.  "I wouldn't do that if I were you," Drag said.  "That Key is not for you!"  Drac turned and laughed.  'Oh really?  Who's going to stop us, brother?  You and your band of morons?"  Rex snarled and pulled a long sword out of its sheath.  "Shall I tear them a new one?" he asked.  Drac nodded in approval.  Rex walked menacingly towards the Agents as GWB shook his head.  "I'll take care of this," he said, pulling out his Desert Eagles.  G64 held his arm out to stop his partner.

"We can't risk you hitting the Key.  Besides, I've got this under control," he said.  G64 pulled out a long blade.  "This is Soultaker, given to me by my former Sensei.  I'll ask you to give up now.  If you don't, I'll be forced to take action against you."  Rex snarled again and charged G64.  "I'll take that as a 'no'," he said, and ran at Rex.

Meanwhile, Drag and Drac stared at each other for a moment.  "I see you have father's swords," Drac remarked.  Drag looked down at Earthshake and Shorewave.  "One of them would have been yours, had you not left so suddenly," he said.  Drac looked angrily at his brother.  "I had my reasons for leaving," he said.  "And you were one of them!"  He pulled out his own sword, a clear blade with ancient runes upon its hilt.  "Soddom gave this to me.  He said it's an ancient blade, one that can send you into another dimension!"

Drag looked on in horror.  "Where did he get that blade?!  He didn't happen to mention its name, did he?"  Drac looked oddly at Drag.  "He called it the Sword of the Damned, and he found it in the wreckage of the Tokyo military base you destroyed!"  Drag held up his swords.  "I've faced that blade before.  I'm not afraid to do it again!"

As the fighters engaged, GWB ran towards the Key of Spirit.  He reached out for it, but a strange field of energy knocked him backwards.  "What the hell is going on?"  Suddenly, the voice of Deathwing answered GWB.  "Only I can free the Wyrm Jade.  Allow me."  He limped toward the artifact, still feeling the effects of his battle with Orloch.  Putting out his hands, Deathwing felt a surge of energy as he touched the Dragon's Spirit.  "Incredible!  So much power!"

A beam of light broke through the ceiling of the chamber, and a loud explosion sent the Key right through the roof of the temple.  Everyone looked up and saw what had occurred.  "The Key!  We've got to catch it!" Drac yelled.  He and Rex raced to escape the temple.  The Agents looked at each other, and were about to follow until Fudge stopped them.  "I can use my power to transport us back to the entrance."  A flash of light consumed the Agents, and they all disappeared.

Outside, Fury and Awsome 1 saw the beam of light, and the Key landed in the snow next to them.  Just as Fury reached for it, a fist slammed into his skull and sent him flying into the snow.  Awsome 1 looked up and saw the enormous form of Galex looming over him.  A1 sensed that Galex was smiling, but a ball of energy knocked him to the ground before he could find out.  He looked up and saw DaRokSez hovering next to Galex, and passed out.  DaRokSez floated over to the Wyrm Jade.  "It's ours now, my friend," he said to Galex with a smirk.
