THE THREE KEYS
Part One: The Key of Spirit

Chapter 3: Military Coup

"Secure the building.  Make sure no one gets out!" Rampage yelled to his troops.  They had already put the front guards under house arrest and were making their way towards the living quarters when Fairy Mothra flew into his face.  He swatted the pest away and continued moving.  "I want all these agents kept here for questioning," he yelled as he walked past each room, pointing at every door.

Moments later, Rampage found himself staring at a three-foot-thick iron door.  A handprint identification computer jutted out of the right wall.  "I wonder what's behind this door," he asked.  "That's for us to know, and you to find out!"  Rampage turned his head to the right.  It was Dragitron.

Behind Drag was a rather large dojo.  He motioned for Rampage to come after him.  Rampage signaled for a blowtorch.  Three soldiers ran up to the door and began working to remove the iron gateway.  Then Rampage pointed at Drag.  "I want the rest of you to detain him.  He may be of some use."  The troops ran towards Drag, who stepped backwards into the room.  "This is gonna be fun," he joked.  "Now I see why GWB loves fighting so much."

The first two soldiers entered the room, and their faces met the fists of Fudge and G64.  They dropped to the floor.  G64 smiled at Drag.  "So the military comes to invade our home?  I don't think so."  The remaining soldiers overtook Fudge and G64, holding them down long enough to handcuff them.  "Crap!" yelled G64.  Fudge remained silent.  "Why aren't you fighting back?" G64 asked.  Fudge replied, "They must have a good reason to be here.  I say we should hear them out.  There's no point in fighting the wrong people."  G64 shook his head in disgust.  "Sometimes I don't get you," he mumbled.

Meanwhile, Drag was knocking out the military left and right.  Rampage entered the room at last and put a stop to the fighting.  "Stop!  You must be Dragitron, correct?"  The troops stopped advancing.  "Let's talk for a moment."  Drag stepped forward.  "Where have I seen you before?" he inquired.  Rampage smiled.  "Oh, I'm sure Guy Wearing Black has told you about me.  I am General Vance Johnson, but you can call me 'Rampage.'"

Drag's eyes grew wide in surprise.  "You and GWB have quite the history together.  But he's not here right now.  Can I take a message?"  Rampage's smile turned into a frown.  "This is no laughing matter.  We know you have what's called a Key.  The United States government requests that we recover the Key to study it."  He pointed back to the steel door.  "The Key is in there, isn't it?"  Drag stared vehemently at Rampage and did not answer.  Rampage began to smile again.  "I thought so.  Please, just cooperate and we'll be gone in no time."

At that moment, Fudge spoke up.  "I can see into your mind, and I know the truth that you cannot understand."  Rampage walked over to him.  "You must be the one called Fudge.  I hear you can be a bit 'spiritual,' eh?  Tell me, what can you sense in my mind?"  Fudge stared for a moment at the General, and then closed his eyes.  "You are being misled.  You thought you spoke to your superiors, but that is not so."  Rampage chuckled.  "Whatever you say.  How can I believe you?  You threw the first punch here, not my men.  How do I know you aren't just screwing around with me?"

Fudge remained calm.  "Believe what you will, General.  All I speak is true."
