THE THREE KEYS
Part Three: The Key of Mind

Chapter 3: Agents Under Fire

Awsome 1 was in the lab, tinkering with a formula, a green liquid, that he hoped would reverse the kaijunoid process.  For months he felt a growing animalistic desire burning inside of him, and A1 wanted to expel it at all costs.  He poured the liquid into a test tube.  "Well, here's to my health," he said.  Just before he was able to down the potion, the Wyrm Jade began to glow and shake.

"What the hell is going on?  The Key isn't supposed to glow unless the other Keys are near!"  Suddenly his eyes grew larger as he realized what was happening.  "The Garai Tai!  They're here!  I've got to warn the others!"  Awsome 1 jumped out of his chair, but an explosion shook the foundation of the lab and the ceiling gave way, crashing on top of him.

Within five minutes, the entire base was on fire, the smell of brimstone permeating the air.  The agents had quickly noticed the smoke and flames and rushed outside in full battle gear.  Even the trainees were ready for battle, but nothing prepared the agents for what was to come next.

Amid the flames, Dragitron noticed a group of shadows heading from the southern end of the island.  He and GWB, G64, Rampage, Fudge, Fury, UG90, Deathwing, Shadow, and Ness stared in shock.

It was a small army.

An army of kaijunoids.

The beasts continued to advance, snarling and snapping their insatiable maws at the agents.  Drag turned to UG90.  "Make sure the trainees get to safety.  Shadow, you and Ness can lead the other agents.  Deathwing, find the Key!"  GWB checked to see if his guns were loaded properly.  He aimed them at the creatures, unsure of which ones to pick off first.  Before he could fire a single shot, G64 held him back.  "Wait a second!  We've got more company!"  The kaijunoids parted down the middle, and six men wearing cloaks walked in front of the army, each wearing their own significant colors.  The Six Eyes had arrived.

Omni threw back his hood.  "Hand over the Keys, and no one will be hurt."  Fury noticed a strange gleam in his eyes.  GWB laughed.  "You should be the ones handing over YOUR Key.  And besides, we only have one Key!  What's with this plural business?"  Drac uncovered his head.  "You stupid fools.  You've had two Keys all this time, and you never knew it!"

Rampage looked over the Six Eyes.  "You look like an impressive bunch.  Where's your glorious leader?  He didn't have the balls to show himself?"  Spyder hissed at the General.  "Do not sssspeak of the massster like that!  I ssshould tear your torso from the rest of your body!"  GWB smirked.  "And you should learn how to control that lisp."  Spyder got ready to leap at the cocky agent, but Drac held him back.  "You want to meet Soddom?  That won't be a problem."

After a moment of silence and a bit of a stare-down, the sound of footsteps coming from behind the Six Eyes interrupted the eerie quiet.  Drac moved to the side and Soddom stepped in front of him, wearing his signature helm.  A sword lay at his side and a green cape blew around wildly in the wind.  "It has been a very long time, agents," he said calmly.  "Such a very long time.  I'm sorry we had to meet under such harsh conditions, but you left me with little alternative."

"Cut the crap, Soddom!  Who are you really?" yelled Drag, getting impatient.  Soddom sneered from under his helmet.  "My, my.  I'm surprised at you, Dragitron.  I thought my hint all the way back at the ice temple would have given it all away.  But if your feeble mind still can't comprehend, then I will show you just who I am!"  With that, Soddom took off his helmet and held it at his side.  A hush fell over the agents as they stared in awe at their foe.  His shoulder-length blonde hair, his green eyes, his green body armor.

It was Samrong.

"That's impossible!  I killed you in Tokyo over a year ago!" exclaimed Drag.  "How could you still be alive?!"  Samrong laughed long and hard.  He pulled out his sword.  It was the Sword of the Damned.  "Remember when your brother said this sword was recovered from the Tokyo battlefield?  Now how could he have retrieved a sword sent into the very Abyss itself?  The answer: he couldn't!  But I could."  Samrong held up the sword.  "You forget that my father is not human.  I was born with powers similar to his own... and yet, greater still!  My hands can purge the very fabric of reality!"  He thrust his sword forward, and it disappeared into thin air, reappearing behind the head of a kaijunoid, killing it instantly.  Samrong pulled back his sword and it reappeared in his hand.

"I've become as powerful as the gods themselves.  I want power, lots of it!  I want the power to create the cosmos, and Bagan will do just that!  When I awaken him, the universe will be destroyed, and I alone will reshape it in my image!  Where Daneasaur failed, I will triumph!  No longer will there be good and evil…there will be only ME!"  Samrong turned to his army.  "Destroy them.  Crush them.  Kill them all!"  With a roar, the beasts charged forward.

G64 looked grimly at the other agents.  "It's gonna be one of those days," he sighed.
