THE THREE KEYS
Part Three: The Key of Mind

Chapter 9: The Ultimate Betrayal

Omni and Rex calmly strode over to Samrong.  Death and destruction lay at their feet, both agents and kaijunoids having lost their lives in the great battle.  Omni handed the Keys over to Samrong.  Galex headed over to his comrades, holding in his arms Shadow, GWB, and Ness wrapped up in a steel girder.  DaRokSez and Fury appeared from out of nowhere behind Samrong.  Two kaijunoids walked into view carrying Awsome 1.  Spyder joined them, carrying G64 in a cocoon.

Galex and Spyder dropped their captives to the ground.  Spyder ripped a hole in the cocoon so that G64 could see what was happening.  Samrong looked at Drag, who was holding Dracatron in his arms.  "The Keys are mine now!  If you are wondering where the Key of Mind was hiding, I'll tell you!"  He turned to G64.  "It was in your trophy!  That's right.  My men entered the tournament to win the Key, but you proved to be too resilient for your own good!"

GWB and Shadow tried to break free of their constraints, but they needed Ness' strength and he was unconscious.  "You bastards!  What have you done to Fury and Awsome 1?  Let them go!"  Samrong nodded to the kaijunoids and they carried Awsome 1 to a clearing.  A beam of light shot down from the sky and the kaijunoids disappeared with their captive into the Garula.  Samrong turned back to GWB.  "Fury is essential to our plans.  Without his power, we cannot awaken Bagan."

Drag got up with anger in his eyes.  He pulled out Ragnarok and started to make his way toward Samrong, but a voice behind him made him stop.  "Brother, he's not worth it!"  Drag turned around.  Dracatron was awake.  "You don't have the man power to stop him right now.  Please, just listen to me!"  Drag dropped his sword and walked over to Drac.  "I missed you so much, little brother," he said, hugging him.

Drac smiled.  "Me too, Drag.  Me too."  Suddenly an evil smirk flashed across his face.  Drag felt a sharp pain in his side.  He let go of Drac and backed away to the cliff's edge.  Holding his side, Drag saw he was bleeding like a stuck pig.

Dracatron tossed the bloody dagger to the side.  "You must be asking yourself some questions right now.  You got rid of Corpsefire, that's for sure.  But he didn't make me evil.  He only intensified my hatred for you, brother.  Father always loved you best.  That's why you received his swords."  Drag struggled to speak, even as his eyes were glazing over.  "That's... not... true..."

Drac walked up to Drag, a look of hatred in his eyes.  "I remember when father left for the war years ago, he had a saying.  Let me refresh your memory."  He whispered into Drag's ear.  "When tomorrow becomes today, that's when we'll meet again."  With that, he pushed Drag off the cliff, where the dark and unforgiving waters below swallowed up his body.  Dracatron picked up Ragnarok.  "The swords are now rightfully mine!"

Fudge and Rampage were hurt, slowly making their way up a hill, when they saw what had just happened.  But they were too late.  The Six Eyes were leaving, and the island was a burning inferno.  Dracatron and Samrong were the last ones left, and they smiled at each other.  GWB yelled and cursed at them.  "You god damn bastards!  Get back here and fight me!"

Samrong laughed as Drac entered the beam of light.  "I promised you I'd get my revenge.  Now die here at the mercy of the elements!  I'm off to become a god!"  He entered the light and disappeared.
