Round One

Gatlin vs. Ultimategamer90

Gojira64 stared out the window in the Avatar Quarters at the ARena.  After just witnessing what DaRokSez attempted to do, he grew afraid.  "I don't like the looks of this, Fury.  This guy seems to be playing for keeps.  Whatever happens out there, be careful."  Fury nodded in agreement.  "Don't worry about me, G64.  Your match is coming up.  Just make sure you get to the Quarterfinals!" he laughed, patting G64 on the back.

GWB walked over to his friends with a plate of food.  "Damn, this is some good grub.  Kaiju hot wings, anyone?  I brought some extra Godzilla Barbecue Sauce!"  He held out a plate of chicken wings, but the others shook their heads.  A man wearing a trench coat walked over to GWB.  He was just as tall as Fury, and wore a scarf to cover his face.  In a gruff voice, he began speaking to GWB.  "The winds of time are changing.  I smell a foul air about this place.  Be on your guard." 

GWB looked up from his dish.  "Who the hell are you?" he asked, but the man had disappeared.

"It's time now for our third bout to begin!  Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to introduce to you the former three-time World Kaiju ARena Champion, Gatlin!"  Gatlin entered his observation pod to a standing ovation.  He waved to the crowd as the announcer spoke again.  "And his opponent today is a newcomer to the world of kaiju battles.  Say hello to Ultimategamer90!"  A small child entered the opposite observation pod.  A few snickers could be heard from the crowd.  Drag just laughed.  "That kid is gonna get creamed!" 

       Suddenly there were a few gasps coming from the left of Drag's seat.  A small, hunched over figure made its way through the aisle, carrying a plate of food.  He took a seat next to Drag.  "Here's the food.  Sorry I took so long."  Drag looked at the man.  "Awsome 1, what took you so long?  You've missed two matches already!"  Awsome looked up at Drag.  "The lines here are crazy.  And as I was coming up the stairs to the aisle, some guy in a blue cloak rushed past me and almost knocked me to the ground!"  Fudge looked curiously at Awsome.  "Did you say blue cloak?  Hmmmm... I'll be right back."  With that, Fudge disappeared.

       "The box is locked, the lights are on, and now it's KAIJU FIGHTIN' TIME!!!"  The combatants looked at each other for a moment or two.  "You don't really expect to beat me, do you, kid?" Gatlin said, smiling slyly.  UG90 just stared back.  "I may be a kid, but I didn't get all this way on easy street!  Let's battle!"  Super MechaGodzilla lumbered into the "city" ready to do battle.  The robot let out a metallic cry.  A buzzing on the other side of the battlefield turned everyone's heads.  Three giant Kamacuras hovered into view.

       The Kamacuras suddenly flew off into separate directions.  The middle one headed straight for SMG.  The robot fired its mouth beam, but the desired target swerved to the right.  SMG continued firing short bursts, but the insect continued to dodge.  At the last moment, the Kamacuras flew into the sky.  SMG looked up at the mantis, but the trap had been set.  The remaining insects flew from both sides of SMG, scratching the robot's arms with their scythe-like appendages.  They flew off before SMG could react and hid behind the surrounding buildings.

       "That mechanical monstrosity can't match the speed of my kaiju!  That's why I'm a three-time champ and you're just a chump!" Gatlin taunted.  UG90 remained defiant.  "The key word is former champ, and I intend to keep it that way!"  SMG began blasting the skyscrapers with finger missiles until nothing remained.  A buzzing sound from behind caused SMG to turn around, but it was already too late.  The Kamacuras bore down upon SMG, knocking the robot off-balance.  It tripped over its own feet and now lay at the mercy of the mantids.  They bit and scratched at the helpless machine.

       One Kamacuras climbed onto SMG's tail.  It slashed away at its downed foe, but suddenly SMG's jet thrusters turned on and burnt the insect to a crisp.  MechaGodzilla flew up into the sky, knocking off the other Kamacuras.  Firing finger missiles at a nearby building, MechaGodzilla intended for the structure to collapse on top of its foes.

       And collapse it did.  The skyscraper toppled onto one of the Kamacuras.  The last one flew into the sky, but Super MechaGodzilla shot its G-Crusher at the insect's body.  The weapon connected and held fast onto the Kamacuras' body.  Then SMG's Garuda Cannons lowered and pointed at the helpless mantis.

       In a blast of energy, the Kamacuras had been completely eradicated.  Gatlin was speechless.  "This kid beat me?!  I can't believe it!"
