THE WAR OF FATE

Part One: The Resurrection

Epilogue

The Agents looked at Beijing as the Green Jester circled a small area outside of the city.  Bagan was destroying everything.  Whole city blocks turned to rubble.  The shattering of glass muffled the screams of the innocent.  Death was everywhere.

"I can't believe it.  This is worse than I imagined," Shadow said, with a hint of fear in his voice.  Even Ness and GWB were frozen in their place, unsure of what to do.  G64 turned to Black16.  "Is there anything we can do?" he asked the entity.  Black16 stared at the destruction as he answered the agent.  "No.  Not now.  A full-blown attack would be futile.  He is protected by an aura of energy.  We'll have to wait until the Dark Citadel has arisen."

"Dark Citadel?" asked Fudge.  "I know of no Dark Citadel."  Black16 turned to the befuddled agent.  "The Dark Citadel is a tower where the master of Bagan resides, commanding the great beast from the top of the tower.  The Dark Citadel is buried here in Beijing.  Samrong has ordered the destruction of the city so that Bagan can raise the tower.  Once Samrong enters the Dark Citadel, he's going to do something horrible.  At that time, Bagan will be off guard, focusing all of his energy towards his master's command.  We will strike then."

Deathwing slammed his fists on the wall of the jet.  "Damn it.  It's all repeating!  Exactly as it did five thousand years ago, and we're smack dab in the middle of it!"  G64 put his hand on Deathwing's arm.  "Relax.  We'll take care of it.  This is OUR destiny.  I intend to make sure that history repeats, and Bagan is sent away again."  He looked at the chaos in Beijing.  "Or die trying," he mumbled.

"Damn it all to hell!" yelled Rampage as he slammed the phone onto the receiver.  "No one is listening to reason.  The government isn't going to help us."  He got up from his seat and walked back and forth.  Teller thought for a moment.  "What about our mech division?  Don't you still have control over them?"  Rampage looked up at that moment.  "Your right, Teller.  The only problem is I don't have the manpower to tackle this ancient kaiju."  He pounded his hands on his desk in anger and a sheet of paper flew off the desk and floated over to Teller.  The Lieutenant looked over the paper.  "Sir, I think you should take a look at this flyer.  It's for the WKAT that took place a few months ago."  Rampage grabbed the paper from Teller's hands.  "This gives me an idea.  Teller, get the mech troops ready.  We're heading to Beijing, but I've got a few phone calls to make first."

Samrong and his Six Eyes stared at the destruction Bagan caused in Beijing from the deck of the Garula.  His eyes lit up as Bagan destroyed another building.  "Excellent.  Spyder, you have the coordinates of the Dark Citadel?" The spider demon nodded.  "It issss jussst assss I remember.  Death and desssstruction.  Hell on Earth.  Thissss time we ssssshall not fail.  I've waited too long for thissss."  He looked up into the sky as the sun shone brightly.  "Daneassssaur, thissss issss for you, my friend," Spyder remarked.  Samrong shook his head at Spyder.  "Pfft," he said.  "I do this for an even better cause.  When the moon is eclipsed tonight, the world will be changed forever."  He clenched his fist.  "It will be MINE!"
