Downloads
The only reason anyone ever comes to a StarCraft website is, of course, for the downloads. Or perhaps to pick up a bit of strategy. We don't have a strategy section up yet, but we do have a little bit in the way of downloads. Expect this section to grow immensely in the near future. Really. Seriously.
Maps
These are the few maps that we have scrounged up so far.
They are all made by TheEvaporator and most of them aren't very good, but you
can look at them if you want. Enjoy.
Ender's
Game - This is a really boring map. It's an island hop game with just
eight big blocks for islands. There are lots of minerals though, so it is
more for those people who don't like pretty maps and like to concentrate on the
killing aspect of the game.
Nomad
Warfare - This is another island hop map. It is a bit more complex
though, as there are more islands and they aren't just big squares. The
key to winning in this map is expansion. There are a lot of minerals on
every island, but it will be hard to mine them fast enough. Protoss have a
small advantage in that there are a few spots where their photon cannons can
reach other mines. It's nothing a good player can't get around though.
Six
Feet Under - This is not an island hop map. It has five bottleneck
bases for players to start in and the an extra base that is wide open to whoever
wants to try and hold it. It's not the best, but it can be fun if you want
it to be.
Replays
Now you can actually see the members of ARG play out great works of literature with StarCraft and the Magical World of Replays!™ Now you can see how good (or how terrible) we really are. Isn't that neat? Just save to C:/Program Files/Starcraft/maps/replays and watch the fur fly. No StarCraft units have fur, but that's beside the point.
Give me a Lion Heart! - I'm pretty sure I'm using the "JasterZ" name in this one, so I'm really easy to spot (my different names are all part of the Lab) and Ianisadumbass is playing as "loser_zombie". It was originally a 2vs2, but one of our opponents just quits. The other guy, however, is rather good, and more or less destroys us. No one ends this game where they start. I get annihilated once, and Ianisadumbass is killed twice. The bizarre thing about that is, we win the game. This is mostly due to the fact that he never completely finishes one off, and then goes for the other. But I call this overwhelming odds, considering I was reduced to drones, and did most of the actual winning, heh (no offense, Ianisadumbass). Just watch it, you'll like it.
