The Aeons of Final Fantasy X

Note: Aeons cannot be selected as fighters. The ratio is given as a reference only. Yuna is the only fighter who can call Aeons. In other Final Fantasy games, the summon spells are just a bigger attack spell, while in X they stick around a fight like any other fighter.

Valefor

The very first aeon Yuna receives. Valefor is a flying creature of great magical power.

Strategy: Valefor's best ability is its Always Flying bonus. Since it can move up and down by pushing the joystick, Valefor is quite agile, despite his low speed.

  • Ifrit

    The flaming spirit.

Strategy: Ifrit is a powerful fighter, but his specials are weak due to his lower energy. Use him against fighters with fire elemental moves, because they can't hurt Ifrit.

  • Chain Combo, Fire Dunk

    Special Moves:

    Victory: Same as Taunt

  • Ixion

    The warhorse of lightning

Strategy: Ixion is fairly clumsy. All of his moves take a while to start, giving the enemy plenty of blocking time. Use him against S elemental enemies, because they will heal him.

Victory: Paws the ground, and whinnies

    Top
  • Shiva

    The ice goddess.

Strategy: Shiva is relatively fast, but most hypers almost kill her. Use her against ice enemies who will heal her. And whatever you do, don't use her against fire enemies.

  • Bahamut

    The King of the Dragons.

Strategy: The strongest aeon. Since it takes three levels to summon, Bahamut is as strong as many ratio 2 fighters. Hastega gives Bahamut an even larger advantage, but probably shouldn't be used against enemies with drain abilities. However, his moves are too slow to combo well.
    Combos: None

    Stats: Power: 5 Energy: 5 Defense: 5 Speed: 5 Ratio: 2 Drain: Super Armor 1 Size: L

Impulse: Globes of energy fly out from Bahamut. Like Jin's attack

    Super Armor 1

Hastega: Raises Bahamut's speed by 3. Drain becomes Speed.
