A special operative sent into the Killer Instinct tournament to destroy Eyedol (?). Orchid fights with her agility as well as two baton like weapons.


Strategy: Orchid is best off staying on the ground. She has no air combo finishers, unlike most characters. Orchid players should do their best to anticipate enemy combos. If in a combo, try to figure out what the next hit will be and use the combo breaker to get out of it.
Combos:
  • Chain Combo, Any Special or Black Lotus or Baton Flash
  • Launcher, Air Combo, Fragrat Flower or Black Lotus
    Similar Fighters: Chun-Li, Sagat

    Stats: Power: 5 Energy: 5 Defense: 3 Speed*: 8 Ratio: 2

    Special Moves:
    Baton Blast*: Puts the batons together and fires a blast of energy
    Fragrant Flower*: Does a 3 hit forward moving hand-stand kick (A)
    Black Jab*: A jumping knee smash attack (A)
    Dark Past: Does a quick forward cartwheel that can go through the other fighter. Rolling Evade
    Combo Breaker: Can be used to counter a Chain, Sweep, or Air combo. Correct button must be used.
    Basic Throw: Picks up the victim with the batons and throws
    Bonus: Wall Jump, Rolling Dodge (See Dark Past)
    Launcher: A rising cut with her baton

    Hyper Attacks:
    Black Lotus*: Does a handstand and spins around, legs out with a field around her. 20 hits (A)
    Killer Combo: Dashes forward (C) and does a 10 hit combo
    Baton Flash: Fires a series of 28 large baton blasts rapid fire. Move quicker than normal blasts.

    Enter: Draws her rods out of sheaths on her back
    Taunt: Starts combing her hair
    Victory: Simply turns her back to the enemy.

  • Glacius

    An ice alien that crash-landed on Earth. Glacius enters the tournament to get funds to repair his damaged spacecraft so he can return home.


    Strategy: Glacius is slow, so he is best played defensively. His Launcher is very good for an anti-air move. The bouncing ice attacks are kind of slow as well, and can be used effectively for comboing.
    Combos:
  • Sweep Combo, Bouncing Ice or Puddle Punch or Downhill Run
  • Chain Combo, Big Grab or Bouncing Ice or Downhill Run or Pillar of Ice
  • Pillar of Ice, Downhill Run or Melt Shot
  • Bouncing Ice from across the screen, Puddle Punch
    Similar Fighters: Iceman, Venom

    Stats: Power: 4 Energy*: 7 Defense: 6 Speed: 3 Strength: W Weakness: F Ratio: 2

    Special Moves:
    Bouncing Ice*: Punches the ground, and a ball of ice bounces forward (W)
    Puddle Punch*: Turns into a puddle of water, slides forward, and does a uppercut out of the puddle
    Big Grab*: His arm extends, reaches out and throws the enemy
    Break Counter: A counter attack. When hit, Glacius shatters, hurting the other guy. (W)
    Freezer: A beam of ice fires out of the ground, causing the enemy to become frozen.
    Basic Throw: Picks up the enemy with his large hands and throws him.
    Launcher: Turns his arm into an ice spear and uppercuts

    Hyper Attacks:
    Downhill Run*: Punches the ground, and 15 Bouncing Ice balls fly forward (W)
    Pillar of Ice: A beam of ice erupts from the ground. 10 hits and freezes the enemy (W)
    Melt Shot: Turns into a puddle and an arc of water jumps out of it. 16 hits

    Enter: His ship crashes and he breaks out of it
    Taunt: Rears back his head and roars
    Victory: Same as taunt

  • Maya

    An Amazon warrior who entered the Killer Instinct tournament for some reason. This game doesn't have a create story.


    Strategy: Maya is quick as lightning and about as pleasant. Her big drawback is her low defense scores. If the enemy can combo her, Maya takes massive damage. Just use her high speed and don't get caught.
    Combos:
  • Chain Combo, Dagger Uppercut, Air Combo, Flip Kick, Dagger Storm or Dagger Drop
  • Chain Combo, Dagger Spin or Amazon Charge

  • Similar Fighters: Rolento, Felicia

    Stats: Power: 5 Energy: 4 Defense: 3 Speed*: 9 Ratio: 2

    Special Moves:
    Flip Kick*: Does a backflip straight up, then dives forward and down with a kick. 2 hits (A)
    Dagger Drop*: Jumps up and throws daggers downward. 2hits (A)
    Cut Throat*: Dashes forward (C) climbs on the enemy back, and slashes their throat.
    Dagger Spin: Spins forward with a double dagger attack
    Dagger Uppercut: Runs forward, does a jumping uppercut. Super Jump and Launcher
    Basic Throw: Holds the enemy with one hand, flips a dagger in the other and stabs
    Bonus Abilities: Double Jump
    Launcher: Does a backflip in place

    Hyper Attacks:
    Amazon Charge*: A 12 hit version of the Dagger Spin attack
    Dagger Storm: Throws 30 daggers straight forward (A,down-forward)
    Aerial Daggers: Runs forward (C) and does a Dagger Uppercut with an 8 hit air combo.

    Enter: Drops out off a tree, catlike
    Taunt: Bangs together her daggers. Quick taunt
    Victory: Goes into the pose in the picture
