All in a nutshell:

Tim was born in Burbank California, he watched a lot of good horror films and was pretty good with his "super 8" camera. He wasn't really agreeing with his family, so he moved in with his grandma and worked in a restraunt. His art teacher, evidently seeing potential in Mr. Burton's work, had refered him to Cal Arts, a Disney based college. He worked on the Fox and the Hound, but found it hard to create their idea of cute little creatures and in his words all the foxes he drew looked like road kill. He made offside projects and little things like "Vincent" which was a bittersweet animated short about a boy named Vincent Malloy, obsessed over Vincent Price. All of Tim's works all deemed to be "unsuitable for children" by Disney and none were created until later times. When Tim worked his potential out on "PeeWees Big Adventure" people got a bit more gutsy for having him work for them. Eventually, he got to have his own movies that he made up created. These movies were "The Nightmare Before Christmas", a short childrens' book he had written, and "Edward Scissorhands" about his concept of a boy created in a large dark castle, unfinished because of the inventors death his hands were left as scissors. He directed other such films as "Beetlejuice" and "Sleepy Hollow" and some offside childrens things like "Aladdins Magical Lamp" etc. Since then he has made another childrens' book, which I feel is more adult-based material. It is titled "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories" it is a book of short poems of little children born (or created) as somewhat freaks. This cute little book, though not really suitable for children, is very cute, very funny, with a twist of morbidity. A fantastic little book. He has also created shockwave episodes based on the book at: www.stainboy.com. Though his life is much more in depth than anyone can write (or even find the words for for that matter) the whole of it is he more or less, over deep complications, overcame society, especially that of Burbank, to become one of the world's most acclaimed directors, and in my opinion greatest directors, of all time! Including a fantastic artist, whose art is really interesting (to say the least). Creative and talented, morbid and funny, and all in all a success, Tim Burton... what else to be said but

"HES THE MAN!!!!"
