Prom Shopping Day 1
Since
I wasn't able to go to L.A. for my prom dress, my mom
and I went shopping for prom stuff at Fashion Valley Mall.
I got my dress at Macy's (blech....), and my shoes and
shawl from Nordstrom's (hmm... kinda blech...).
My
dress is from Jones New York's evening collection. It's
okay, I guess. It's a nice fabric, some kind of heavy,
silky cloth.
The
right side, bottom has two triangles of satiny cloth.
Jones
New York Dress:
$295
The
shawl is a heavy, satiny thing. It's thick, so it'll keep
me warm. Surprisingly, it's an exact match to the triangles
of satin on the dress, so I bought it.
Nordstrom's
Shawl:
$78
I
had to find the perfect shoes to tie in my hair idea,
the dress, and the shawl together.
They
fit and feel great, which is the most important part.
The white heel and strap thing aren't opaque, they're
jelly-ish... kind of see-through.
Chinese
Laundry Shoes:
$50
I
won't have pictures of my hair or make-up up until after
the prom (duh). My hair is going to have thin, white streaks
(like... white...... like the background of this page
white) and will be in small, loose curls. My make up will
be simple: black eyeliner, light blush. I will have red
lipstick, though, to match my toenail polish. I'm not
going to have a french manicure. I'm going to have them
done all white.
Yay!!!
