Cairhien is very civilized, in that the Cairhienin greatly respect Aes Sedai. The nobles will try to impress you, and if you favor one or the other, they will take that as a sign of prestige. Try not to let yourself become a pawn in Daes Dae'mar -- but if you do find yourself in that position, make sure to let them think you did it on purpose, and that you were really using them the entire time. |
Cairhien nobles wear the colors of their House. Their rank is shown by horizontal slashes on their clothing. Our researchers have not yet been able to figure out why they don't wear vertical stripes, which would make them look taller. |

Cairhien women wear their hair in tall piles of curls on top of their heads. The taller the hair, the higher the rank. Typically, Cairhien people are also very short. It is not customary to use their hair towers to hold your drink at parties. |
