Blue Ajah Tips, Step 2.

So much of a Blue sister's time is spent wandering the world, gathering information, trying to piece together clues or influence people to do what you want them to. Many times, it becomes necessary to go undercover, hiding your true identity and, of course, your ring. Here are some helpful tips to think of when stuck in disguise.

Posing as a student can often be useful in more sophisticated places, such as Cairhien or Andor. Be wary of taking this approach in other, shall we say, less civilized areas <*ahem-Amador-ahem*>, as the sight of a woman carrying a book could cause quite a stir. To get the correct posture and gesturing for this role, a good thing to do would be to study a Brown and copy the way she walks, gazes thoughtfully at nothing for hours, stutters, etc.

Although your Warder may not like this disguise (well, then again, he may like it a bit too much), it is one of the most effective ones in the known world. As a woman of ill repute, getting information out of men becomes mere child's play. Show a little leg, and you'll find people admitting to things you were never even going to accuse them of. To get the right body language for this role, watch a Green sister around her Warders. Take notice of the way she draws attention to her best features.

Every Blue knows the best way to gather information is by sitting in a tavern and listening to the drunken babbling. A wet tongue is a loose tongue, as a Green friend of mine says. So what better way to hear all of the news than to pose as a beer wench? If you have access to herbs, you could even slip a little truth serum into the victim--er, customer's drink to hasten the process. Just make sure your Warder's around to keep some of the more rowdy customers in line.

Yes, we know how much every Sister despises playing a servant. The indignity of it all. One of the most powerful and feared women in the world, relegated to serving tea and cakes to some noble and his ridiculous cronies! It's a tough job, certainly. Perhaps the biggest challenge in an Aes Sedai's life is attempting to look meek. But it is one of the most useful ways of gaining information, made easier by the way nobles tend to be blind to the servants that surround them.
