The Nerd Zone is a shareware software game company. Our games are free, but we do appreciate small registration fees (Hint hint). We try to be innovative.
2/25/2002-We got a new system, so we've been busy with other stuff. Sorry.
2/13/2002-We're up to 6.5 levels. Fishing works well now.
2/1/2002-We've added barbed wire/thorns (Took about 5 minutes), fishing (Took about 5 hours), and rowboats to Famine. Oh yeah!
1/22/2002-What can we say? We've done level 4, and now we're doing level 5: Plains, but what puzzles do you put in a plain? You know, we're going to do 10 levels for a demo, with a message to send us money for the total 100. What do you say?
1/17/2002-We uploaded the new demo, with the 4th level (Needs a bit of work) and the weasel chow and bombings (Not that anything gets bombed in these levels), in addition to a new weasel, the Pacing Weasel. It doesn't bite; it only runs back and forth. But you should see it rip through a pile of weasel chow!
1/12/2002-The engine may soon be completed. Yesterday, we put the finishing touches on bombings and weasel chow. Weasel chow cannot be picked up, but only destroyed by hungry weasels. Bombed areas occasionally have bombs dropped on them (Like you couldn't figure that out yourself).
We could use some help, so please e-mail us at lynx9999@netzero.net if you're interested in doing some work and maybe even getting a share of any profits.
1/7/2002-We're up to 3.25 levels. Hey, we have another map in the Worms Armageddon section. Check it out.
12/27/2001-With Christmas and some illness in our ranks, not much has happened. We are now taking submissions for sounds for Famine (Like drills, eating sounds, jumping sounds, etc.) at lynx9999@netzero.net. Please help us!
12/18/2001-Yes! The Famine demo is finally here! It's got 2 finished levels, and a 3rd, rough one, many items, good jumping, and really deadly weasels. In addition, the Famine page is up.
12/10/2001-The Famine engine is mostly completed, except for minor things (Conveyor belts and bombings. Ideally, there would be one or two third-world U.S. hating country style levels where bombs would be constantly raining down.) So, we're going to be writing levels, putting in features as necessary. But, we're not going to put up a demo for a few more days. Famine needs polish.
12/05/2001-OK, so this is a little late. But what do you expect, with all the progress we've made on Famine? The shops are in, the pop-up messages are working, and so on.
There's a new Worms Armageddon map in the Promotions section: The toilet shopper. Check it out.
11/24/2001-Hey, we're doing news now! Hopefully, this will be updated at least each weekend or so.
We're working on a new game: Famine. It's a side-scrolling adventure game with...hey, just read the Current Projects thing below. The point is, it's cool, it's doable, and it's coming soon! Compared to some of our earlier projects, it has better graphics, better animation, and better play value.
Our mailing address is now:

BomberMan, with combos. This is one sweet multiplayer game! Oh yeah! Try it! The registration cost is $3, though. Oh, the pain! Screenshot

This is useful if you play online team games. The Encoder allows you to share a chat-based number code between people in a group. The thing is, the code changes in the same way for all members with the program every day. This is just a demo: if you want a registered version, complete with your team logo, sounds, and preset words, then e-mail us. (lynx9999@netzero.net)
Synthetic Reality is a small shareware company. It's run by one dude, Dan. With the support of a cult following, Dan produces righteous online multiplayer games. Best of all, every one of his games but one is GUILTWARE! (Guiltware is shareware that merely asks you to pay the company money.) Note: Until Dan creates a working demo of his space game Rocket Club, he's not so much of a friend at all. Click HERE to join our club in the Rocket Club, for when it's released (Assuming it's released).
Famine: A side scrolling adventure game. You're leaving your small, impoverished country in search of a better place. This game has got puzzles, classic side scrolling action, resource management (Managing your resources to avoid starvation), humor, and bargain hunting. Work is going very well. A demo has just been released. Look at the Famine page, or the Famine demo.
To promote the Nerd Zone, we've created some Nerd Zone themed Worms: Armageddon maps. Click here to check them out.
