The following are several pictures concerning my 20 gallon planted tank. First is a picture of a Bristish Garden I took to show you a real world example of interesting plant set up. Next are current then old tank pictures. I have really enjoyed working on this tank and I have invested a lot into it. It changes constantly so I can't say this is the final design.

British Garden

Here is a picture of a garden. I took this picture while I was in London last summer. You can see it has a lot of large healthy plants. I try to model my fish tank after gardens like this. Although it looks nothing like this particular picture I hope to get a jungle like feel with many different textures and heights.

Current Tank

This is my most current tank setup. Keep in mind that this will change as time goes by so don't assume this is the final product. There are three Japanese Algae Shrimp, two freshwater clams, two Ottos, and 4 "Red Glo"s. I like this design but it does have some pros and cons.
PROS: It has a variety of colors and textures and a large diversity of healthy looking plants. The driftwood provides interesting passage ways for fish and shrimp and the smaller forground plants help give a sense of depth.
CONS: I would like to have more ground cover plants to really get some height differences. The plants can sometimes break and leaves can be found drifting around.

Old Design

This is my old design. It had poor lighting and an uninteresting design, but you can see how much it has changed.
