Big thank you to Vegeta999 for not only inspiring me, but for also helping me decide some major things for this ficcy.

Major thanks to Insane Fangirl aka Elektra who told me that Otogi played two different characters. Shingo now plays himself. Thank you!

Chapter 1: "I'm Sorry I'm Not Straightforward"

"Atemu. Atemu! Atemu! Wake up, you're about to be late for school!"

Two crimson eyes opened, their owner entangled in his bed sheets. Mumbling, he reached over for the alarm clock.

8:15, it read. His eyes became as large as saucers.

The Yami family, minus Atemu, was enjoying a nice breakfast downstairs--Yami's younger brother about to leave for school after he finished his pancake as it began some time later.

Alas, the peace was shattered as a loud scream from upstairs was heard. A minute later, Yami was running down the stairs in his school uniform, except the jacket was unbuttoned, toothbrush in mouth.

"Why didn't you wake me up!" He yelled.

"I did, Atemu. And each time you answered back, apparently only to fall asleep again." His mother responded.

Atemu disappeared another moment, and then ran through the kitchen.

"Bye, everyone!"

"Atemu, aren't you forgetting something?" His mother asked while holding up a small box wrapped in a blue cloth. "Your lunch?" Atemu's head reappeared, a look of self-hatred crossing his face.

"Oh yea…"

After grabbing lunch, he then ran to the door, slipped on his shoes, grabbed his briefcase, then ran out, praying he could get to school on time.

Hi. I'm Atemu Yami, but everyone outside my family just calls me Yami. I'm 14 and in the 8th grade.

"Bark Kitty! Bark!"

Yami rounded a corner to find a couple of kids abusing a small, defenseless black cat.

"Hey! Get away from that cat!" Yami yelled at the kids.

"ACK! He's from the middle school! Run!" And so the kids ran off, leaving the cat behind.

"Brats…" He mumbled as he walked over to the cat, who started shaking as he picked it up. It was black as night, and it had two Band-Aids on its forehead.

"Band-Aids? Did those kids put them on you? Let me take them off." The kitty stopped shaking as he pulled it off, revealing a weird yellow eye. The cat's eyes opened and blinked up at him.

It then jumped out of his arms, and onto a nearby car, staring at Yami.

"Nice kitty…" Yami said, slowly backing away. His ears then caught the faint ringing of the school bells.

"Oh no! Late again! I gotta go! Bye kitty!"

The cat just stared at him as Yami ran off towards the school.

"Yami! You're late again!"

"Sorry, there was this cat in the street and these kids were picking on it…" Yami said after he was kicked out of the classroom. Yami then sat down on the floor, Indian style and unwrapped his lunch.

"I didn't eat breakfast this morning so I'll just eat it now." He didn't hear the door sliding open to his left as he lifted the fork up to his mouth.

"Yami! What are you up to!" Yelled a woman with long brown hair and fiery green eyes.

This is my teacher, Miss Patricia Haruna. Everyone just calls her "Miss H."

"Yami, if you were more serious about school then you wouldn't get such lousy grades!" She said, holding up a paper that was marked with a 30.

"Miss H., I can't stand English." Yami complained. "I'm not planning on going to America."

"You still have to pass this subject, Atemu Yami. No excuses!"

"Hey, Yami! How'd you do on the quiz?" A girl with blonde pigtails came up to said person.

Here's the smartest person in our class, Rebecca Hawkins. Everyone believes she's going to be the next Albert Einstein, or something like that.

"Yami, were you caught eating again? Which time is that?" Asked a boy who looked a lot like Yami, but his hair didn't have the blonde highlights like his did, and his eyes were amethyst, unlike Yami's crimson eyes.

This is my best friend, Yugi Muto.

"I didn't apply myself on this test, but I got a 95. I half asleep, but it was a breeze." Rebecca said, brandishing said paper.

"A breeze! You have got to be kidding me, Einstein!" Yugi said. He pulled out his own paper, which had an 85.

"How depressing," He commented sarcastically. "A score lower then Rebecca's."

Yugi's so cool and smart. And from a good family.

"Did you guys know that Sailor V stopped another robbery last night? This time it was a jewelry store." Rebecca said.

"Cool, but who's Sailor V?" Yami asked.

"You haven't heard of Sailor V? Defending against evil in a school-girl uniform?" Yugi said.

"Some say she's really just an undercover cop." Rebecca added.

"Yugi, doesn't your family have a section for jewelry in your store?" Yami asked.

"Yea, they do." Yugi answered, curiosity plaguing his mind.

"After school, why don't we go over there? Maybe this Sailor V will be there."

"Sure! We're having this big sale today too. Maybe you can buy something for her." Yugi joked.

"You're so lucky you're like my little own Mini Me, compadre."

"Just because I'm a little shorter than you doesn't mean I'm a midget!"

"You're still shorter than me, little Yugi."

"I'm not little!"

A long ways away from Juuban Middle School, another plan was being made. One darker than the innocent plan of Yugi Muto and Atemu Yami. A man sat on a throne, his long white hair spilling over his face, coming to rest on his shoulders. In front of him was a staff that floated a foot off of the ground. Atop the staff was a crystal ball.

"Has anyone found the Millennium Puzzle yet?"

"No, my lord." Responded a large crowd that stood quite a distance away from this man. They were afraid of the dark power this man possessed, as he was very ruthless and easy to anger.

"Our great ruler wants a plentiful amount of energy. If you cannot obtain the Millennium Puzzle, then let us first give our ruler human energy."

A blue flam then appeared between the man and the crowd. Another voice spoke.

"King Pegasus." The blue flames disappeared leaving a man in a gray uniform outlined in crimson, respectfully bowing as his blonde hair covered his face. "Will you leave it to me, Jounouichi?" He stood at full stature, his brown eyes glimmering with evil. "My minion, the monster Morga, is already gathering human energy."

"I will leave it to you then, Jounouichi."

"Yes, my lord."

"Wow! There's a lot of people here, Yugi." Yami commented.

"Yea, well, Mom did put a sale on the jewelry…some of it was pretty expensive." Yugi said sheepishly.

In the middle of the crowd stood Yugi's mother, talking into a speakerphone.

"Hurry while supplies last! Go ahead and feel free to try everything on!"

"Jeez. She's really into it." Yugi muttered. His mother then noticed them.

"Yugi, you're back from school and you've brought Yami with you. Yami, you get a special discount."

"Thank you, Mrs. Muto."

They walked around, looking at everyone as they tried on the jewelry.

"I hope I can get daddy to buy this for me since I aced my quiz!" One girl said.

Yugi's mother continued to parade around with the speakerphone. 'That's right; give me all of your energy. I need more…MORE!'

When Yugi and Yami next passed Mrs. Muto, she guided them to the register and pulled out a very big diamond ring.

"This ring normally sells for 500,000 yen, but I'll sell it to you, Yami, for 300,000. I bet you could use it for a special someone." She said. But Yugi and Yami were shocked from the price.

"500,000 to 300,000!" Both screamed in disbelief. Unfortunately, this caught the attention of practically everyone in the store, and then it suddenly became as crowded as a Madonna concert.

Eventually, Yugi and Yami squeezed their way through the crowd.

"Well, I should be heading home." Yami said. "Bye Yugi."

"Bye Yami."

Yami then stepped out of the shop, sighing to himself. He wished he could buy that ring for someone, but he had no one to buy it for. He simply didn't like anyone like that.

And to make matters even worse, there was still that test paper in his briefcase. He took it out, and stared at that big red 30. He growled, then balled the paper up and threw it behind him.

"Oww! Hey, watch where you throw stuff, Porcupine Head!" He heard behind him.

"Eep! I'm sorry!" He turned around to find the person staring at the now un-balled paper.

"A 30 percent? Are you stupid too, Porcupine Head?" Anger flared within Yami as he snatched the paper back.

"Jerk!" He then stuck out his tongue and then walked away. When only a few feet away, he turned back to find the tall brunette staring at The Muto Family Health Food Store.

"Weirdo."

After walking some more, he found himself in front of the arcade, staring at a poster of a Sailor V game.

"So that's Sailor V. She's must have it so easy. Probably doesn't have to take tests and I bet that grabbing bad guys all the time must be fun."

What he didn't notice was the black cat from before was staring at him again from behind a sign. It watched Yami as he stuck his hands in his pockets and continued his walk home.

'I've finally found you, Atemu Yami,' it thought.

Yami slowed his walk when he got in the driveway. If his mom knew about the test, he was sure to get yelled at again. So he decided not to mention it.

"Hi, Atemu. Welcome home from school." She greeted as he stood in the doorway, having just opened it.

"Hi, mom." He replied, nervously eyeing the spatula she was twirling around her fingers.

"I met Rebecca when I was out. She told she got a 95 on a test that she took yesterday."

'I'M GOING TO KILL REBECCA!' Yami mentally screamed. 'TRAITOR!'

"So Atemu, where's your test at?" She asked. Yami took the test out, knowing it would be better to just get it over with now. His mother stared at it, and then the spatula began to twirl at speeds unimaginable.

"ATEMU! A 30! OUT!" She shoved him out the door, and then locked it behind him.

"MOM! IT'S JUST A TEST!" He pounded on the door. "IT'S NOT LIKE IT WAS THE HIGH SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAMS!" He was met with silence.

And then Fate decided to torment him more.

"You're an embarrassment. I want a new brother, cause you sure suck at being one." Shingo, Yami's younger brother said, sticking his tongue out at Yami.

He then walked by Yami, who was filled again with rage.

"Sailor V kick!" He yelled as he kicked the space where Shingo was just a second ago…unfortunately, it was also the closed door.

"OW! Open this door right now! You can't just kick me out!"

"You do know that Atemu is causing a scene, right?"Shingo said to his mother who sighed.

Yami lie on his bed, depressed from today's events.

'First I'm late for school, again, failed another test, again, and got kicked out the house, again. Why can't I be more than a failure?' Yami rolled over on his side. 'I'll just take a nap. Maybe my dreams can help me forget…' Yami's eyes drifted close.

Yugi was in the jewelry section of his family's store when something strange happened. People wearing the jewelry began to faint and collapse everywhere.

"What's going on? Mom, something's wrong!" He ran over to his mom, who was laughing.

"Mom? Mom!"

"I've gathered quite a bit of energy."

"Mom…" Yugi was now nervous. Mrs. Muto then turned around, an evil expression on her face.

Yugi screamed.

A window opened, and in flew a gentle breeze. The window was then noisily shut, awakening its owner.

"Huh?" Yami asked. He saw the cat from this morning standing on the other side of his bed.

"Hey, you're the bald-spotted kitty from this morning, but why are you in my room?"

"It's not a bald spot. How rude." Answered the cat in a deep masculine voice. Yami's eyes widened and he jumped to the side of the bed.

"You…you can talk!" Yami gasped. "Cat's aren't supposed to talk!" The cat then cleared his throat.

"My name is Mahaado. I've been looking for you, Atemu." Yami was still shaking in denial and fear of a talking cat.

"Oh, I need to thank you first. Thank you very much. You really helped me out by taking off that Band-Aid. It prevented me from talking and my sensory powers were dulled while it was on. I was having serious trouble because of that Band-Aid prank. But thanks to you, I finally found you." Mahaado then chuckled at the irony of his statement.

"Good night!" Yami then laid his head down in his arms and tried to fall asleep again.

'This has got to be a dream,' he thought.

"Atemu, this is not a dream!" He then pushed down on Yami's head. "C'mon, Atemu!" He then got off after that failed attempt. "Fine then! I'll wake you up."

Mahaado jumped in the air, and a golden object appeared and both landed on the bed. "There."

Yami cracked open an eye and saw the gold trinket. It was a small, upside-down pyramid with the same eye as the one on Mahaado's head.

"Atemu, this is a present for you."

"Really? I can have this?" He picked it up and held it in his hand, observing all the details of it. "Thank you, Mahaado."

"Atemu, weird things are happening all over Tokyo right now. An enemy the police can't fight. Atemu, you're going to have to fight these enemies."

"Why me?"

"You are a chosen warrior. And your mission is to find the prince with the others."

"That sounds sorta cool." Mahaado narrowed his eyes.

"You still don't believe me, do you?"

"No, I believe you, I believe you."

Mahaado smirked. "Really? Then say this: "Moon Prism Power Makeup!"

Yami shrugged. "Okay. Moon Prism Power Makeup!" Yami's eyes were forced close as it felt like a tornado surrounded him and ripped his clothes off, then piece by piece replaced it with something different. When it felt like it stopped, Yami opened his eyes. He was still in the room with the cat looking at him. He then felt weight where it didn't belong, and no weight where some things did belong. He looked down, and screamed.

"I'm a eunuch! And I'm not supposed to have those!"

He was dressed in something that resembled the girl's school uniform, except the skirt was much more shorter and there was a bow in the back right above his butt. He also wore red boots that came up to his knees, and another chocker, but this one was a red and had a yellow crescent moon on it. The gold thing from before rested in the bow on his chest. From his ears dangled two crescent moon earrings and a tiara rested on his head, with a black jewel with the Egyptian symbol of life, the ankh, in gold in the middle of the black stone.

"What is this? What's going on! What's happening to me! Tell me!" Yami then broke down in tears. "I'm a…a…. a girl!"

He then heard a voice.

"Help! Someone please, help! Help! It's my mom!"

"That's Yugi's voice. But what does it mean?"

"Now do you believe me?" Yami blushed in embarrassment.

"I don't really get it, but Yugi's in trouble."

"Atemu, you have become Sailor Moon. Now go and save him quickly!" Yami just blinked.

"Me?"

"Help! I…" Yugi was beginning to feel weak, but he couldn't get his mom's hands from around his neck. "Stop it, Mom!" She just laughed.

"I'm not your mother." She then transformed into this old, decrepit monster. Yugi screamed again.

"Your mother's locked up in the basement. After I kill you, I'll send her to the Afterlife with you." The monster then tightened its grip.

"Get away from Yugi!" The monster then turned its head around, loosening it's grip on Yugi only a little.

"Who are you?"

Yami froze. He didn't know what to say…

"Umm…I'm the Sailor Warrior of Love and Justice, Sailor Moon. In the name of the moon, I'm going to kick your ass!"

"Sailor Moon? I've never heard of such a thing." The monster then turned the rest of its body around, letting go of Yugi in the process. It then raised its arms above its head.

"Rise my servants who gave the my ruler your precious energy!" All the customers who had fainted before now stood, an odd look in their eyes as they began to move towards Yami.

"What are you people?" He--err--She dodged all the attacks as people lunged at her, trying to tackle her to the ground. She couldn't just attack them, even if they did act possessed. One of them then came after her with a broken wine bottle, which cut her knee.

"It hurt…this dream is getting too real!"

"Sailor Moon, what are you doing?" Mahaado asked, coming up beside her. "You have to fight. You have to destroy that monster."

Said monster was currently floating over brainwashed people. Yes, floating.

"Why? Why did this have to happen to me? The only thing I've done wrong was fail another test. I didn't want to become a girl and die this way too!"

Sailor Moon then cursed her new female emotions. 'If it wasn't for these, then I would probably be kicking that monster's butt…but now I can't…'

The monster then lunged itself at Sailor Moon. "This is the end!" It screamed, extending its claws toward Yami. Yami was frozen in fear as it came closer, a few tears escaping her eyes.

Then, a blue steak flashed by, and a blue rose stopped the clawed hand from coming any closer. The monster turned around to the source of the rose, a man in a tuxedo, cape, top hat, and mask was above an open sunlight.

"I am Tuxedo Kamen. Sitting around crying isn't going to do anything, Sailor Moon."

"But I…" She was so tired of people telling her what to do. So, she screamed. The upside-down pyramid then glowed as the scream was magnified to a deafening sound. Everyone was clutching their ears, the brainwashed fainted.

"Stop that noise!" The monster screamed.

"Take the puzzle and yell 'Moon Puzzle Action!' and throw it!" Mahaado ordered.

"Why do I have to do that?"

"Just hurry up and do it!"

Sailor Moon, the grabbed the puzzle off of the bow, and a long chain appeared. She grabbed the chain, and swung it around a few times while running towards the monster. "Moon Puzzle Action!" The pyramid glowed and Sailor Moon hit the monster with it at the base of the head. The puzzle knocked the head off and the two halves of the monster fell into ashes, which then disappeared. "No way…" She said, amazed at what the puzzle had done.

Jounouichi was holding the large, collected energy for King Pegasus, when it suddenly disappeared.

"Morga, you screwed up. Idiot."

Sailor Moon stared at where the pile of dust was, but then looked up when she heard Tuxedo Kamen speak.

"Great job, Sailor Moon! I'll remember this night." And with a swing of his cape, he was gone. Yami just stared while blushing. She had never liked a guy before…but he found himself liking that Tuxedo Kamen, wanted to know everything about him.

"You did well, Sailor Moon." Mahaado said. Yami still stared at the spot where Tuxedo Kamen was only a few moments ago as her heart ached.

'Could I have a crush for someone I just met, someone I don't even know what their face looks like? And a guy at that!'

Thankfully, Yami had turned back into a guy after he had de-transformed when he got home later.

Now, he was at school, trying to sleep as Yugi and a few of his female friends talked.

"I had this weird dream last night that this girl named Sailor Moon saved me from a monster!" Yugi exclaimed.

"I had the same dream!" One of the girls said.

"I did too!"

"Hey, Yami, isn't that weird?" He asked, turning around to find Yami asleep. "Hey, Yami, listen!"

"I'm so tired. I didn't get an ounce of sleep last night, so please, let me sleep." Yami then yawned, and around his neck was a golden upside-down pyramid hanging on a chain.

"Good night."

To be continued…

Okay, now you decide whether or not I continue this story or not. Was it good, bad, or you can't tell? Please tell me, and if you want, you can hit me with constructive criticism. But NO FLAMES! I can't stand flamers, as they usually flame for no reason.
