Sci-Fi Shows

= cheesey show

Lexx
Ah yes, Lexx. Either you hate it or you love it. It's cheesey, it's contrived, it's full of bad acting, and it's great. It's also based off of the made for t.v. movie of the same name. It has basically the same plot and same characters, except a different actress plays Zev, now Xev. The new Zev isn't as cool, so I just think of her as an entirely seperate character, and then it's not so bad. Anyway, I like it and I am mercilessly teased for it. You probably will be too.

Star Trek
Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise, its five year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before...

Star Trek: Next Generation
Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Star ship Enterprise, its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before. When I was little, I used to run around pretending to be Deeana Troi. It was pretty weird.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9
Federation spacestation Deep Space Nine is positioned between the planet Bajor and a stable wormhole that leads to the Gamma Quadrant. The station was formerly a Cardassian mining facility before they abandoned their claim to Bajor in 2369. Now DS9 is a place of commerse and an important base for implimenting Federation policy in the sector.

Ĉon Flux
All of the episodes have common threads, themes, and characters, definitly. However, The show's dismissal of linearity results in Ĉon's being killed in every other episode-and that's just the beginning. Ĉon is Monican agent- spy, assassin, seductress and more. She shares a twisted love/hate relationship with her nemises Trevor Goodchild (they're either trying to screw eachother or kill eachother), the leader and dictator of the neighboring nation Bregna.

Farscape
At first I didn't like this show at all, but it's been steadily growing on me. I think I'm actually a fan now... Astronaut John Crichton assumed he'd be home in time for dinner. But a freak accident during an experimental space mission catapults him across a thousand galaxies to an alien battlefield. Suddenly, he's trapped among alien creatures wielding deadly technology ..... a battle that 20th century sci-fi pop culture never prepared him for. Hunted by a merciless military race, Crichton begins his quest for home from a galaxy far, far away.

SeaQuest
"The 21st century, mankind has colonized the last unexplored region on Earth, the oceans. As captain of the SeaQuest and it's crew, we are it's guardians. For beneath the surface... lies the future." The show is basically the adventures of the crew of the Sea Quest, set, of course, in the future. It's not entirely original and has a few convienent plot devices, such as a machine that allows Lucas to talk to his dolphin, but hey, it's a pretty cool show anyway. Just keep clear of the 3rd season.

The Twilight Zone
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call... The Twilight Zone.
