Cruelty as a Mask
You can probably tell Inti's not all there in this one. It's times like
these, when he's angriest, that I feel most
sorry for him, since I know what's going on in there. The smile is
his way of denying that he's wrong, of convincing
himself that this is his only choice.
About the time I started this I was observing other Photoshop artists
and trying to figure out how they got their lines so
solid and smooth. Somebody recomended that I work big and use the eraser
to smooth the lines after I'd drawn them, instead of
worrying about getting them right the first time. Works pretty well.
I also discovered that you can use a hard nib
for smoothing and you get a neat strandy effect for the hair.
