NINE INCH NAILS 21st May Barrowlands, Glasgow support : Pig Incredibly enough, the only gig I went to all year, being the poor student I was, but it was a good one. First visit to the Barrowlands, a mighty dark piss-pit of a place (decide for yourself if that's good or not). Support band Pig were ace, although at the time I was told they were Sheep on Drugs, whose crap records I bought for weeks afterward before I found out. I was caught out by the appearance of the main act, being halfway through taking my jacket off when they came on, I nearly had my arm broken by the crowd surging forward. This was a truly sweaty, physically exhausting gig (the best kind), which I enjoyed hugely, even if I saw very little of what actually went on. First time I'd heard "Closer", it was easily my fave track of the night. T-shirts were available, the money wasn't. If only Killie had made it to that afternoon's cup final, this could've been a truly great Staurday in Glasgow. Instead, it was just a great one.
