marvellous melbourne
Of all the cities in Asutralia I wanted to see, Melbourne was always the one that seemed to be a bit special, the best bands, the best sights, the best ex-girlfriends. However I can't help feeling I'm kinda wasting my time here, cos I've been in melbs for 5 days now and seen very little of what I planned. In that time I've found some great record shops, bought quite a few discs too, found a great wee pub, had at least one good night with a Kiwi chick at aforementioned pub, been to the St Kilda festival, succesfully managed to find my way in and out of town unassisted, seen the Telstra Dome and had a quick stroll down SouthBank. Sounds like a lot, and yet I still feel as if I haven't started yet! Got the footy on fri night, Jo's coming down sat, going down to Philip Island sun/mon, hopefully meet up with Cristos mon, Delgados tue night, and I'll be off to Sydney on fri. I hardly have any time to do anything, it's not fair! Admittedly, there's more productive ways to spend a holiday than sit in the AllNations bar on Spencer Street, but it's $4 pints every night between 4 and 8. In fact, it's almost half-three now!
this is what passes for art in Melbourne;you either love it or hate it...
