Faerie Pictures!
Faerie pictures

The following pictures were taken on some random day a while ago by my now ex-boyfriend Jordan. I got it into my head that spending an off-day from school taking pictures of me and my two friends Robbie and Lucy as faeries and an angel, respectively, would be really cool. And it was...both metaphorically and temperature-wise. Still, all four of us had a really good time, and the pictures came out really well. This is all that Robbie and I scanned. Enjoy.

First up we have Lucy, looking marvelous in her trashy Mercy uniform. She's standing on a pole inside Double Rock Park in Parkville. We were going for that "skanky Catholic school girl angel" look. Don't you think Lucy pulls this off so well?

Next we have Robin, at the same location, in the same trashy Mercy uniform (well, *her* trashy Mercy uniform...not Lucy's), only as a faerie instead of an angel. Robbie's wings used to be mine, but I gave them to her as a present and then bought myself another matching pair. Hers can now be found hanging from her wall, surrounded by these pictures.

A moment of silence, if you will, for the swingset that Robin is on in this picture. Shortly after our photoshoot, Park people tore our swingset down! That thing has been up since before I was a kid, and I have no idea why they tore it down other than some stupid kid probably hurt him or herself on it. Hell, I've fallen off swingsets before, and I'm fine! It's a part of growing up! Stop padding our playgrounds and let kids get banged up they way they've been doing for decades! *gets off soap box* Anyway, everyone loves this pic, because even though you can see the swings, it looks like Robbie is flying.

Next, we moved to Towson to confuse the preppies and old people wandering the streets. This picture was taken on the elevator inside of Towson Commons (where the movie theatre is). This is my personal favourite because Robin looks so much like she just jumped out of an Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue (the only difference being that *she's* wearing clothes).

A terrible picture of me, but then again, I think all pictures of me are inherantly terrible. :) I was going for that "fun loving faerie swinging down an escalator" look, but I don't quite think I achieved it.

Another personal favourite because it plays around with framing and textures and all kinds of photography lingo my cousin Brian taught me. Everyone loves this one because Robbie looks so cute (she's the perfect model, no offense, my lil Lucyfer).

We ran across the street to Towson Library for these final shots. Outside the library is a large mural with sea creatures swimming around on it. Lucy, Robbie, and I thought this would be a great place to use up the last shots on Robin's disposable camera, seeing as how Jordy ran out of film at the Commons. We ran into a friend of ours, Catherine, who knew all three of us well enough to know that she should just walk into the library and not ask too many questions. To Cat: thank you.

I played photographer for this last picture. Here we on the library's large, circular indoor ramp. I had to have people step over me for about ten minutes while I got this shot right. While I was risking head lice and other ickyness, Jordy borrowed my wings, which you can kinda see behind him.
