Cartoon Dolls
Ok, so what the heck are these little things and why do they seem to be infesting all these web pages? Well, the whole thing originated from a chat room where the particpants made "avatars" for themselves online (an image). One girl made this little cartoon of herself and everyone loved it. Then everyone imitated it. Then everyone blew it out of proportion and made it itno this whole web phenomena where people had to have their own whether they adopt, make, or create their own "doll".
I spent a whole two days being rather absorbed in the whole mess because I was REEELY bored at work. Now, I don't usually go for trends like this this, but I must admit that these little things are fun. Below are several groups of dolls. For those of you that collect them, I strongly advise you to give credit where it's due if you use them. That means linking back to wherever you made or adopted the doll. It's polite and fair and not too much to ask.
To see other premade Goth dolls and what happens when they go to a club...head this way....
These six lovelies came from Dead Chick's Gothmaker, one of the many Doll maker sites for those of you who aren't into drawing, or who just don't feel like going through the complex avatar acquiring procedure that was necessary through palace chat.

For a very good tutorial on how to paint your own, please visit Josie's dolls. Hers are very cute and have lots of personality. Her site tells you how to start from the ground up: drawing the body, face, hair, etc. She also has some base bodies in various skin tones for you to use. I made use of a couple of hers for some of my dolls, as well as painting my own. |

From here and beyond, you can see dolls of my own creation. That means I painted them PIXEL BY PIXEL. It's a bit of work, but it is rather fun and really the only way to get exactly what you want. Because I have physically PAINTED all of these, they are my artwork, just like any of the other art work on my portfolio page, so stealing them and claiming them as your own warrants a severe beating with a metal spork. You may adopt a doll if you like, but you must include the certificate with them and a link back. Not too much to ask. I do ask however, that you do not adopt the row of dolls immediately below. These are likenesses of my friends, and the middle one in the stripes is me. Kidnapping me or my friends is not smiled upon. Please, leave us be! |

Below are some Goths you can adopt for your very own, if you like. I'm addicted to making them, so I will be adding more very soon. in particular I'd like to make a nice collection of guys, as most Goth Guy Dolls were a little disappointing to me. All I ask is when you adopt, you take the certificate graphic beneath them and put it with them. (A link would be nice too!) Although I enjoy painting these little guys, I will not take requests for dolls of any kind. I am very busy with lots of stuff...especially my sprawling web empire and hardly have the time to eat, sleep and go to the bathroom as it is. There are people out there who will take you requests. It's not hard to find them on search engines either.
