Your name and work or occupation Christine - College Student.
How did you meet rpg's? Online, actually.
Do you remember your first role session? I can't say I remember my first, but I remember a lot of my first roleplaying times.
What was the first game you played ? Vampire: the Masquerade (2nd edition).
Which is your best memory from this session? It was a lot of fun not knowing what the hell I was doing.
Which is the worst? Not knowing what the hell you're doing makes for some stupid lines.
What percent of your friends play role games? 90%.
What do you like about RPGs? The ability to pretend you're something you'll never be.
What don't you like? The fact that some people have been known to take things too far and forget it's a game.
What do you like about role players? They're normally highly intelligent, and a good portion are lots of fun to be around.
What don't you like? Hmmmm. Holier than thou attitudes that sometimes get pulled up.
What good things has the role games brought to your life? My current roommate, for one, and lots of entertainment.
What negative things? I often wonder how else I could have better spent my money...
What do you think about the stigm of "satanism" which sometimes have the RPGs? It's the player's prerogative whatever religion they choose to practice, but to label the entirety of the "gaming population" as subscribing to one religion or another is ridiculous and extremely narrow-minded.
Why and how did you began to be a storyteller? Guess I impressed some people.
With which game? Vampire the Masquerade on diablerie.org.
How was this first time? Yep.
What type of games do you prefer now? Vampire the Masquerade, Changeling the Dreaming.
What do you direct actually? Vampire the Masquerade.
What do you play actually? Vampire the Masquerade (I'm sensing a trend...).
Which is the best RPG or which are ? Why? Vampire the Masquerade. The element of political battles mixed with physical battles is incomparable.
Which the worst? Why? D&D. I fire my magic missile into the darkness.
Which game would you like to play or to direct and you haven't been able to until the moment? I don't think I have one.
Is there a Role Play culture at your city? Before I moved, in Atlanta there was a huge one (White Wolf being based in Atlanta would do that).
Why do you think it? White Wolf was based in Atlanta.
The role players are a disgregated group? why is this way? or aren't they? You know, I don't think roleplayers - most that I have met anyway, are part of this "idea" that non-roleplayers have of the common gamer. A lot of roleplayers I know have pretty respectable jobs.
What do you know about the role players in other cities of your country? of your continent? around the world? Most are highly intelligent people with quite a good sense of humor.
Why the RPGs don't have the best image? A few bad apples spoil the whole tree...
What motivated you to put online a role website? Well, I needed a quick reference site for myself, and since I gave it out to other people - namely those who I frequently played with - I kind of just kept expanding it, and finally gave it a domain name.. tzimisce.net.
Define your site please Tzimisce.net is a site for the tzimisce (obviously), but also for all the rest of the elements in the game. The largest section, by far, is the character creation section - which generates quite a lot of traffic for the site on it's own.
Which were the original objectives of your site? Easy accessible information.
Are all of them fulfilled? Why do you think that it happens? Yep, pretty much everything I wanted to get up there is there. I was getting tired of hefting through book after book to find a tiny bit of information. It gets old.
Do you write for rpgs?, draw?, other? Occasionally I'll draw my characters (and occasionally other people's as well). Two things which all role players must know.
1. It's just a game.
2. Don't sweat the small stuff. Most players if they screw you over in game don't have anything against you out of game.
Two things all role players must avoid while playing.
1. Metagaming.
2. Metagaming. What it means? Metagaming = OOC Usage of information, cheating, etc.
Role players are principally male? Why? this question is because looks like is this way here I have no idea.
From what age could girls and boys start playing rpgs? Depends on the game. More mature games (like Vampire the Masquerade) shouldn't be played by young teens. It should be 16+.
With what type of games? Read above.
An anecdote from your life in the RPGs. My first Tzimisce character. I'm so ashamed, I won't even mention it here.
Please a picture, image or avatar to illustrate your interview.
Thanks.
