Original Poetry Antigone This was inspired by a translation of Jean Anouilh's rewrite of the Antigone myth, 'Antigone', which my drama class used back in 1993 for a One-Act Play competition. I won First Place in the school lit mag with this one, and it was put in the play program... On The Mystery Of Being Feline A poem inspired by my love of cats and their mysterious ways... On The Obsessiveness Of Grief This is an angsty villanelle I wrote for an English class - someone thinks about their lost love. The quotes are from Edgar Allen Poe's 'Anabel Lee'... So Sorry... A rather sarcastic piece I wrote to blow off steam after hearing my pagan fiance's description of his awful run-in with a close-minded Christian missionary. I have no problem with Christians (I'm Wiccan), but I despise close-mindedness and thoughtless stupidity in anyone... The Fae A piece of fanciful poetic fluff about White Wolf Games' Changeling: The Dreaming RPG. I wrote this more for flowing rhythm and sound than anything else.
