After about five hundred stellar cycles, Xaaron and Diatlas gave up their search for Optimus Prime and the Matrix, when they encountered Sentinel Prime. Sentinel Prime was the official title of the very un-official looking Alpha Trion.
A-3, or so he preferred to be called by his small band of followers, revealed to Xaaron and Diatlas that he was in search of the Micron Legend. Unfortunately, so was an un-named Decepticon leader. A-3 only knew of the subcommander Galvatron and his troops.
About the same time, two mysterious starships bearing the Autobrand were detected. A-3 told Diatlas to go get the ships before the Decepticons find out about it. Due to its miniscule size, the rocket might be an information carrier.
Meanwhile, on their journey, Countdown listened to the tale told by Jetfire.
Jetfire revealed that he discovered an ancient starcruiser with a strage symbol on it. He descibed it as a diamond shape with a large "M" in the center. He decided to return to Cybertron immediately to tell Xaaron. Unfortunately, Jetfire never made it. He ran out of Energon, and crashed into what later became known as Nebulos.
Countdown decided to search out this starcruiser. With it, he might have a chance to defend his world. Then the alarms sounded. A few strange craft approached. They spotted the Autobrand and began to open fire. One of them suddenly exploded, and Countdown saw a large white ship blasting the others. The ship took a few damaging blasts, but successfully sent the attackers running.
The rocket was being hailed. The transmission stated that he was a fellow Autobot, named Diatlas, and they should follow him to safety. Countdown and Jetfire agreed.
