Cryotek was an intergalactic crimelord. He is the reason why robotic lifeforms are banned at The Hub Spaceport. Many organic life forms are scared of beings that they can not easily fight or kill. Cryotek seems like a cool customer, but if angered he becomes a ruthless killer.
While exploring New Cybertron, he discovers a small ancient records station. Upon closer inspection, he learned that this was the resting place of an old Cybertronian probe. The original inhabitants of this world could not read ancient Cybertronian, so they had no idea what was within this derelict.
Within was an ancient message programmed by a rebel designated A-3. He spoke of five faced masters, that were finally twarted by an invasive program that halted their body functions, and then led to total system shutdown. Those who were immune to this, became irradiated and became insane.
All that was left of these programs were encrypted in this probe, and sent away from Cybertron after the masters were overthrown.
