February's Guest Model:

Jayne

[AD] Where are you located?
-Seattle, WA.

[AD] How long have you been a model?
-Over 2 years now. I started modeling with a photographer named Rayce
Conway. She is now a very good friend and we work together quite frequently.

[AD] Do you travel for photo shoots?
-I do if all travel expenses are paid for. I simply cannot afford going
down to another state for TFP. I do, however, travel within Washington
state, within reason of course!

[AD] How did you become interested in being a model?
-Well, it sort of started as a fluke. I was out modeling just for fun
with Rayce on my first photo shoot. Once the shoot was done, she told me
that I was a natural at what I do, and that I should do more shoots. From
there she helped me out with finding other photographers. I started small
and worked up from there. The third photographer I worked with was Kevin
H. (Skin Two, and several other works). I was so excited to work with
him. I think some of my best work has come out of that shoot with him.

[AD] What's your favorite piece of clothing in your closet?
-Well, I really don't have a single piece of clothing I like more than
any others. I really have too many clothes to pick out of anyway. (if you
see my closet you'll know what I'm talking about)! If I had to choose, I think
I would pick my leg warmers that I made out of an old skirt. Since then
I have made several pairs of leg warmers to match other pieces of
clothing I've bought. I think I've actually started a trend with them as well.
I've had so many people come up to me and ask me where I bought them!

[AD] What annoys you the most?
-I really don't get annoyed that easily. I am a very forgiving and
friendly person. Albeit, I do get annoyed while driving, but usually when I'm
alone and I can forgive myself easily without having to worry about someone
else!! I do get annoyed with ignorance. I can't stand someone not choosing
to learn about something that is right in their own face. But, once
again, to reiderate, I don't get easily annoyed or angry! :D

[AD] What's your fav. time of the year/ or holiday?
-I love spring time. I love when the sun comes out and the flowers
start blooming after a long, dreary winter. Living in Seattle, it's a huge
contrast between spring and winter. Spring seems almost chaotic and
very feminine. Every day in spring will be entirely different. One day
there will be hail, the next sunshine - sometimes that happens even in one
day! I don't have many favorite holidays as I feel most of them have turned
into consumerist holidays. I'd have to say the funnest has always been
Halloween (not to sound too cliche!!). I love making Halloween costumes and
entering in Halloween costume contests!

[AD] What people have influenced you and why?
-My father. He has always been behind me. He is just like me in every
way. He is amazing. I look up to him in every way possible - even though we
clash alot being that we both think so much alike! He has taught me
all I know about buddhism as well, which has helped me immensely throughout
my years. My mother has also been a large influence on my creativity.
She is very creative and has taught me all I know about being an artist.
My fiance, Jason, has also influenced me. He has always
helped me through hard times. Jason also thinks alot like myself, so he is
always good at helping me through decisions. Jason is extremely creative and
very talented. He's helped me through a lot of design issues.

[AD] Favorite bands/musicians to listen to?
-Right now I love listening to 80's and New Wave music. My "favorite"
bands are always changing, so I never really have a favorite. I do although,
have some bands I will always like, and those are: Ministry, and Assemblage
23. I really couldn't list all my favorite pieces of work as it would take
up way too much space here! I also always love classical music. I love any of Beethoven's work,
and also adore Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi,
Mahler, Carl Orff, Prokofieff, and many others.

[AD] How do you spend your free time?
-I usually spend my free time working on projects, with my fiance,
Jason, or with good, close friends. I especially enjoy time with close friends
while sitting down to a nice meal and a good movie. I also every now and
then, like going to parties. It's always fun to socialize in large groups!
I also spend way too much time on the computer!

[AD] What's your favorite movie?
-That's also a tough one. My answer is similar to the "my favorite
music" question. Right now I love the "Lord of the Rings" movies. I just
went and saw "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers", and I must say I have LotR
fever! I also love independant films and animes. My favorite anime right now
is "Lain". I also, of course, love the classics, such as, "Ghost in a
Shell", "Akira", etc. etc.

[AD] What do you collect?
-I don't collect much at all. I feel it unecessary to collect material
objects to grasp onto. I do love the way rust looks so I collect rusty
objects and use them for decoration. I used to collect comics and I
still have a ton - every now and then I buy a few more comics out of
curiousity. I also buy toys when I feel a silly binging urge.

[AD] What are you passionate about?
-Life. I love human existence. Everything about life is fascinating to
me. Every part of it is wonderful - even the hardships. The fact that we
exist on this planet is something to treasure.

[AD] What habit do you wish you could break?
-Grasping. I grasp on to emotions very quickly.

[AD] What goals do you have?
-I have some rough goals in place for college. Right now I am pursuing
my dream to work at the MAC makeup counter in Seattle. Once I become an
experienced makeup artist, I plan on moving to Denver, Colorado, where
I will go to Naropa Insitute. Naropa is a Buddhist college. It
specializes in Majors in arts, social services, and psychology. I plan on getting
a degree in psychology. I also plan on working on my artistic skills.

[AD] What movie or book do you best relate to?
-Being that most movies are circled around drama and I don't have a very
dramatic life, I don't really feel I relate to many movies. I do
however identify entirely with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's books and teachings.

[AD] What is the best way for you to relieve stress?
-Meditation. Being able to relax one's mind is important to me. It
really helps a lot in relieving stress.

[AD] Any special interests?
-Art, knowledge, creativity, buddhism, life... mostly! :D
