Splintered Rain
Sad
to say,
The withering whispers
Smear the night.
Focused hopes fade,
And dreams splinter.
Fostered love decays,
And hollow hearts implode.
Catch the rain, and send a wish within it's fluid perfection.
Experiences stained my heart;
Every step forward is a step upon shattered mirrors,
Reflecting my past before me,
Forewarning me of future irony following pursuit of the past
all over again.
Like a sponge, the sky awaits
To absorb all our sadness, and give us in return hope.
