Welcome to the Lounge. This is where Erin's friends and family hang out. I just wanted to dedicate a page to my family and friends. I know there's practically no pictures for now, but again, that's because I am out in the middle of God's country, again. 8) "Scan-ner? Whuts dat?" It's okay Bubba, don't be afraid ;-) Although I finally have some scanning ability now, a new problem has arisen: I just moved just most of my stuff is still in boxes, which includes the majority of my pictures. I'm finally adding a few more, but I still haven't found the rest. When I do though... :-) Anyhow, here are some of my friends and family members, in NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Just thought I should say that now and end any arguments before they begin. ;-) And okay, so I lied.. the order is guy girl guy girl, family first. So now you know. Here's a picture of Bill and I on our wedding day. :-) And here's another wedding day pic, this one of Bill and his friends Alan(left) and Alex(right). Kind of shows their friendship huh? ;-) Bill. I just thought I should start with Bill. :-) No one can blame me or get mad at me for starting with my husband. ;-) What can I say about Bill? He just joined the Air Force, he's my husband, and he always forgets to give me messages! :-) Those of you who know him know it's true. ;-) We have our moments sometimes, but I still love him and wouldn't have it any other way. In case anyone is wondering because of recent developments, no, Bill hasn't been deployed, and unless things get REALLY bad, he won't be. Which of course makes me very happy. :-) I very much so perfer having him here than halfway across the world. My Mom and Dad at Bill and I's wedding. My Mom. I can quite honestly say my mom is one of the coolest people in the world. I know most people complain about their parents, but I feel like my mom is my best friend, and no, I'm not just sucking up. ;-) Hey, she dealt with my craziness al my life. Even encouraged it at times. She deserves some recognition ;-) I think I got my odd humor from her. She's the only one who laughs at my jokes. :-) My Dad. The reason I'm Irish. ;-) He's probably also one of the reasons I'm a writer. Because of being Irish, we both love to tell stories, *most* of which are true. :-) My dad has some very interesting ones too. I like the ones he lived through best. Like the time he and his buddies got pushed under a dock by a storm on the atlantic ocean and they snapped all of their oars. I didn't believe him. He then reached down and pulled out the handle of an oar, cut off from the rest of it. I'm a believer now ;-) Aren't Patti and Paul cute together? Patti will probably kill me for using this picture. :-) Patti. My older sister. I just wish her friends didn't used to call me "Little Patti." So what if I looked like her? ;-) I think Patti inheirited the "popular" gene. She was a cheerleader, part of drama, in just about every club imaginable in high school, etc. but I still love her ;-) She's married now to Paul. He's cool. One of the funnier guys I know, and he's from Brooklyn. "Hey, Tony!" :-) *Update*: Patti and Paul just had a baby. His name is Joseph Christopher. Awwww... :-) John and Jen at Bill and I's wedding. This is a great picture of them. :-) John. My older brother. John definitely got the "sport jock" gene. Name a sport, and John's been an allstar in it. I think Baseball's his favorite though. He's the math wiz too. But he stinks at english and history (my best subjects) so ha! ;-) He recently got engaged to Jen. Jen's a really cool person too. Extremely nice. I don't think I've met anyone who smiles more often ;-) And she's even cooler because she makes fun of John too. Hehe. :-) This is my favorite picture of Debi :-) Debi Jo. My little sister. I love having a little sister. It's the only way to get payback for all the teachers who asked me if I was anything like Patti. :-) Debi's already had that happen to her. It's all part of my master plan. ;-) She's a little bit of a prep, but I don't blame her, I blame her generation. ;-) Even so, she's really cool. She's getting even cooler as she gets older. And I think my strangeness is wearing off on her. ;-) Tommy modeling his "Bug's Life" Glasses :-) Isn't he cute? Thomas. My little brother. I remember my parents walking into the living room where I was watching TV with John and Debi, and announcing that they had news: my mom was going to have a baby. And then I remember all of us laughing at the April Fool's joke. Well, it wasn't a joke. ;-) Tommy's a great little kid. He's beyond smart for his age, and really cute. I love how he calls me "Hyen" (hi-yen) because he wasn't able to pronounce my name. (No little kid ever can ;-) .) I like it so much because it's creative. Debi used to call me Airy, and Noah (Bill's little brother) used to call me EeEe. :-) Before Tommy was born, John was the biggest baby born in my family, but Tommy took that title, and one day he's going to be a giant, I just know it. :-) Bill's parents at our wedding. Bill's Mom. Everyone always jokes about how horrible their in-laws are, but Bill's parents are really cool. The best in-laws I could ask for. :-) Bill's mom loves strawberries, and you'll realize how much as soon as you walk into their kitchen. :-) She's really nice, and treats me like her daughter. (Not that she doesn't have enough daughters already ;-) .) I'm really glad we have such a great relationship though. I don't know if I could handle having a mother-in-law who didn't like me. Thankfully, that's not the case here. :-) Bill's Dad. When you meet Bill's dad, there is no question in your mind where Bill came from. These two are so much alike. Especially when they're working on cars and trucks. I don't think they even have to speak, they just instantly know what the other one needs or is doing. I have to admit, I knew nothing of cars before meeting Bill, but at least he and his dad were great about teaching me a few things. I'm glad they didn't laugh at me (especially after I freaked when I saw sparks shooting out of the car they were working on and bouncing off their faces and clothes ;-) .) Jamie and Adam at our wedding. So cute. :-) Jamie. Bill's younger sister and creator of Fairy of Darkness. Jamie's the coolest sister-in-law you could ever ask for. She's almost as weird as I am! ;-) She's really smart and nice, and fun to hang out with. *UPDATE*: Jamie and Adam just got married! Awwww. They're so cute together. ;-) Pictures to come soon I hope! Adam recently joined the Marines, so Jamie and I have playful arguments over who's better: Air Force or Marines. (Go Air Force! ;-) .) Just a note: Adam hasn't been deployed either thankfully. Left to right - Gabrielle, Noah, and Emma at our wedding. Emma. Bill's second younger sister. (Yeah I know, I broke the boy/girl order, but I thought I should keep the age order, and Bill only has one brother ;-) .) Emma's really smart, and very inquisitive. Not that asking a ton of questions is a bad thing, it's just eventually you start running out of answers. ;-) Emma loves to draw, and she's getting pretty good at it. Because Bill visited Emma's class, they write to us around holidays and such. It's really cute, and we love the letters. :-) Gabrielle. Bill's youngest sister. Gabrielle usually gets called "Gabbie," or "Beebo" (how she used to pronounce 'elbow'). She's a very cute little girl. I love her laugh. She seems innocent, but she can be pretty evil sometimes. ;-) You can already tell she's taking after Jamie personality-wise. It's pretty funny. :-) Gabrielle is also incredibly smart. She's also taking on the tradition of torturing Noah. ;-) Noah. Bill's little brother. If you look at a picture of Bill when he was Noah's age, you'd swear they're the same boy. :-) Noah loves his trucks, and torturing his sisters. They torture him back of course, because that's what brothers and sisters are for. ;-) Noah likes to sleep with his stuffed animal "Bob," but Jamie always hides it from him. ;-) Noah also loves the Bob the Builder show right now. You can already see he's going to be a lot like his brother when he grows up. :-) ***And now on to the friend section. This part isn't in any order except boy/girl, so please don't get upset over positions. Also, if there are any friends of mine that aren't listed here, please don't go to them and say "Ha ha, you're not on the list." If they're not here, I either accidently forgot, of haven't heard from them in forever. If they start contacting me again, I'll add them to this page. I've had a lot of friends over the years, so I'm only posting current friends. There are some people I'm still friends with, but because of life (moving, losing touch, etc.) I have lost contact with them. I'd like to keep those people in my golden memories of them. (Okay, I'm basically saying if you're my best friend from when I was like 5 and you're not pictured here, please don't get upset.) But like I said, if I missed anyone, let me know.*** Josh. What do you say about Josh? He’s arrogant. Just kidding. ;-) That’s kind of a running gag for us. Anyhow, Josh is really cool. It’s his fault I got a lot more into ancient Japan and stuff. I was interested before because of liking Anime, but he got me addicted to the Legend of the Five Rings books and the whole ancient Japanese culture. (Check out the link to the book’s site on my “odd” page.) If you can’t tell already, Josh and I share a love of books and writing (probably one of the reasons we’re such good friends). I think Josh leans a little more towards the screenplay and media side while I stick with books and poetry though. ;-) I can’t wait for him to get a full series written so I can watch it on TV. I’m positive I will someday, and I’m sure it will be great. Jeannette. I met Jeannette what seems like ages ago. (And it might just have been ages ago… bwahahah… ;-) Okay, so I sat down behind her first day or French 1, tapped her on the shoulder and said Hi. It’s one of the funniest “how we became friends” stories I have because I NEVER do that sort of thing. ;-) Then again, I didn’t know anyone in that room and Jeannette looked like a cool person, so I decided to try. Turns out that I was right; Jeannette is a really cool person, and one of my best friends. Jeannette was accepted to a college in CA, which is really awesome, but it kinda stinks because we’re so far apart now. :-) But that doesn’t mean we won’t still be friends, because we will. I’m just really jealous because she gets to study in France for a semester. ;-) “Netter is Better.” Joe. Yes, I know a Joe. Who doesn’t? Just kidding. ;-) Joe’s a really great friend. He was shy when I first met him, but not for long after I got to him. Hehe. :-) Believe it or not, Joe’s actually the one who introduced me to “Hooters.” All the guys would always talk about how “great the wings are” (yeah, sure you go for the wings. Of course guys. ;-), so I called their bluff one day and went. I have to admit, they actually do have good wings. :-) Even though I’d never touch the REALLY hot ones. ;-) Joe’s lived a bunch of places I always thought I might like to live. Like the mountains. (He misses them the most.) I’m really glad he moved to where I live and went to my school though. Even if he was a Senior and I was a dorky Freshman at the time. ;-) But that’s another funny meeting story. :-) I’m glad I have Joe as a friend. Jovanna. Also known as “Jo.” Yes, another friend with a “J” name. I have tons of them. ;-) Jovanna’s really cool though. She also totally understands my obsession with Sailor Moon because she’s obsessed too. ;-) (“Go Jupiter and Mercury!” :-) I’m a little jealous because she has cooler merchandise in her room than I do. Thanks for giving me the Jupiter doll before I came here for my temporary leave though. I really like it. :-) I might forgive you for missing my going away bowling party after Hooters. ;-) Lol. I love the conversations I can have with Jovanna. Especially our “Erin-Joe connection” conversation. ;-) I still think that’s really freaky. Crazy redhead. :-) Rich. Hmm. What do I say about Rich? ;-) Just kidding. I think Bill knows Rich a lot better than I do, but I think he's pretty cool. He's responsible for getting me into RPGs I probably never would have touched otherwise. That's a good thing though. :-) I would have missed out on some great stuff. He and Bill are also responsible for teaching me how to play Magic: The Gathering. Rich is also responsible for some hilarious poker nights with all of us ending up on the floor rolling with laughter. :-) "Impacted upon the surface." ;-) Rich is a great guy. Just watch out for that wall Rich! :-) Hehehe. Tabby. Her real name is Tabitha (hope I spelled it right), but we all call her Tabby. Tabby's really cool. She lives in the big city, and get this: she's a model! :-) I wish I could do that. ;-) She's not one of those "I only eat ice cubes" twiggy blonde-type models though. She's totally real and lives life to the fullest. I love hanging out with her. Especially pool, where we can totally mess with guys' heads. ;-) I just wish Tabby lived closer. :-( Dan. Josh's brother and my link to Highlander and rock music. ;-) Dan's cool, I just wish he'd hang out more often! *hint*hint* I forgive him though. And with a girlfriend as cool as Crystal I don't blame him for wanting to "be alone." ;-) Lol. I still think it was really cute of him to get that "cootie" necklace specially made for Crystal. :-) Crystal. Dan's girlfriend, and another spunky redhead. ;-) Crystal's really fun to hang out with. Especially when the two of us go on an anti-guy rant. ;-) She doesn't take any lip and it's really funny when she replies to someone who's tried to insult her. :-) You need to hang out with us more often too Crystal! Remember how much fun we had stinking at pool? ;-) Dave. Josh and Dan's other brother, and a fellow scorpio. :-) I mention that because Dave could be the poster boy for Scorpios. ;-) He's really funny though. There's nothing you can say to him that he can't turn around and change it into a joke. Believe me, I tried. ;-) Dave's kinda of M.I.A. though. I haven't seen him in forever. Where are you Dave? Please come back and hang out! *** The next few names are all friends I met through the People to People program on our trip through Europe. I thought they should get a special section. :-) Yay! I finally found some of pictures of you guys. Sorry they aren't the best ones. ;-) I'll keep looking. *** Liz. A good friend I met on the People to People Trip. Having Liz around made Europe even more fun. :-) I love how individualistic she is. I know I haven't been great at keeping in touch with Liz, but I hope to start doing better. Even though we don't exactly live next door to each other (I wish!) I'm sure we'll work something out. I miss our interesting conversations and talks about life. :-) Stay cool Liz! Jon. Jon's another good friend I was fortunate enough to meet on the PTP trip. We have got to have another basement party Jon. :-) M&M war! I hope you still have that walking stick. :-) I'm always happy to get IMed by Jon, especially since we're both so busy. I'm glad to hear you like college so far Jon, just wish it didn't put us even farther apart. :-( Bernie. Bernadette's one of the coolest poets I know. :-) I absolutely love her poetry. I'm positive I'll have a book of her works someday. I'll be the first in line to get it signed too. :-) Bernie's another of my friends from PTP, and one I'm really glad I met. :-) Bus rides became a lot easier when I got to sit next to Bernadette on them. And wasn't Kissing the Blarney Stone fun? ;-) Thanks for taking the picture for me. I swear that guy was going to drop me! Chris K. Another person from the PTP trip that I became good friends with. It was always interesting to listen to Chris's comments, especially when walking through museums and such. I could have lived without the Rock impression though. ;-) Thanks for offering to take care of the Mr. Boots ghost. :-) "Yeah, well if he comes clopping in here, you be sure to send him to my room." Lol. :-) Jeremy. The only other person from PTP I became friends with. Jeremy is... interesting. :-) I love how you practically never stop smiling. It's great. ;-) Remember the mini golf at St. Agustine's? "And Princess Swings-a-lot knights Sir Putts-a-lot" ;-) I still have the piture of that. I'll have to add that as soon as I can find it. ;-) I know I haven't done a great job of keeping in touch with you either Jeremy. I want to fix that though. *** And this special section is dedicated to teachers who have become my friends. Okay, so I was a teacher's pet and became friends with a bunch of my teachers, but these teachers I actually stay in contact with and see from time to time. ;-) They deserve extra credit for dealing with me! :-) *** Mrs. Fishman. Mrs. Fishman was the first teacher I actually considered a role model. I love how she taught because she always gave us creative projects to do. One of my favorite projects was the board game project. "Oh no, the Blob!" ;-) Teaching English is hard, but Mrs. Fishman is great at it. :-) She is also one of my favorite poets. I already have one book that has her work in it, and I'm working on getting the second. :-) Mrs. Fishman's the one who first encouraged me to become a writer and/or English teacher, and I am grateful for that. :-) I hope to publish more of my poems and stories someday, and with Mrs. Fishman's support, I know I will. :-) Everytime I get stuck, or get a writer's block she helps me through it. She evens listens to all my stories, no matter how crazy my ideas might be. She encourages the crazy ones actually. :-) Thanks for always being there, and understandng me. Dambra. Dambra and I go way back. All the way to my first Consordium (sp?) Class. Dambra's class was my first experience with realy acting (preschool/kindergarden plays don't count. ;-) and I loved his class so much, I took it for 6 more years! :-) Even after I was too old for Consordium, I started taking his personal classes. Unfortunately, I had to stop due to time and distance. :-( Dambra has had one of the biggest impressions upon my life. Especially with getting me to be myself, no matter what anyone else said. He always encouraged my stangeness, and I thank him for that. (Though I'm not sure anyone else who knows me would appreciate that. ;-) He showed me how to be an individual by being an incredible individual himself, and a great role model. He's also the most talented actor/director/singer I know. :-) I still want to find a copy of your book too. ;-) Let me know the next time you do a show at the casinos - I want to see it! Here's proof that great minds think alike - we both love purple! :-) Madame D'Arienzo. Last, but most definitely NOT least, is Madame D'Arienzo. :-) Probably the coolest French teacher out there. I've always liked French Culture, but Madame made me fall in love with it. :-) She always gave us fun projects to do to help us learn the language, and taught it in a way we'd understand. She wasn't anything like those super strict teachers that make you almost hate languages. :-( She even let me chose the name Clopine for French Class. :-) Most teachers would have made me pick something else. She even endorsed my love of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. :-) Because of her teaching, I was able to read Victor Hugo's novel in the original French. It was awesome. :-) Proof of how great a teacher she is would be how she makes you love the language so much, you want to do more. I actually started looking into possibly becoming a translator, and Jeannette actually IS following that dream. :-) Also because of her encouraging, I have continued to draw and hope to maybe do something with that someday too. Thank you Madame. :-) Return to Top Last updated on: March 26, 2003 |
