Kelly's Kollum of Innernet Goodness

Hi everybody! As I promised last week, here is my pre-Spring Break report!!!

If you remember from last week, I am going to Washington D.C., Iowa, to do some research for my thesis. The drive from Bowling Green to D.C. is about 8 hours in a car (or half a year in Fuffy terms). Here are some tips for a car ride of that magnitude.

1) Stop often for a bathroom. You never know when the next stop will be. Sure, it may take forever and a day to get there, but at least your bladder won't be crying the whole way there.

2) Go with people who aren't annoying. Granted, this could become impossible, since a car becomes really small really quick, and people become annoying even quicker.

3) Bring ear plugs. If you can't hear anything, it doesn't bother you.

4) If you get car sick, for F***'s sake do not bring food!!! No one should have to clean up your vomit.

5) And if people get out of hand, tell them to SHUT UP!!!

6) Don't forget the underware.

7) Bring good tunes (some suggestions: U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind," Garbage's "Version 2.0," the "Chicago" soundtrack, John Mayer's "Any Given Thursday," or anything by the Red Hot Chili Peppers)

8) Always remeber, if you drive, you pick the station, though country is never allowed. Country music is actually against the law north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Well, those are my sure fire tips for a tolerable car ride. If you can afford it, fly or take a train. Tune in two weeks from now when I give you the post-Spring Break wrap up Special!!!

As always, if laying in the kat kondo, make sure not to puke on the top bunk. -Kelly :*
