Vin, what the F**k?!

I was home for Easter this weekend, and I went with a couple of friends to see "A Man Apart" starring Vin Diesel.  I have something of a Vin Diesel fetish.  There's something about that bald head, the way he walks, and more importantly, the way he beats up the bad guys that turns me on.  So, when this movie came out, and was billed "Vin Diesel's finest hour," I was a little excited.  Let me note something here, I never expect a lot from a Vin Diesel movie, other than typical action movie stuff.  However, this movie was sub-par, especially for an action flick.

First of all, Vin plays a DEA agent who's wife is killed, so the rest of the movie is about him getting the bad guy.  He beats the s**t out of anyone who talks about the "dumb cop wife."  He nearly slits the throat of a stripper and her pimp when there's the suggestion he might be gay.  And for a cop looking for revenge movie, the term "loose cannon" is never mentioned.  It had two endings, which is never good for a movie.  


However, there were some bright spots to this flick.  There's a drug dealer named Big Sexy who has a drug-sniffing Chihuahua.  Ok, that was probably the only bright spot, but it was pretty damn funny.

Overall, I'd give this move 3 out of 5 badges.
