Red Hot Chili Peppers Rock
Saturday I saw the Red Hot
Chili Peppers in concert. Let me tell you, this band rocked me like a
hurricane. I had such a good time, I danced for almost the entire hour and
a half. And they played the one and only song I really wanted to hear. It
was like they heard my request before the show and said "let's do it." And
then there was Flea walking around on his hands. And the spontaneous
outbreak of "Don't Fear the Reaper"
by John. And to close the night out, they played "Fire" by Jimi
Hendrix. Good stuff.
The opening acts were a mixed bag. Queens of the Stone Age kicked ass and
took names. They were very good musicians, and if I had known their stuff
better, I would've been more into it. I highly suggest getting their CD.
Then there was Mars Volta. Britney Spears may have more talent. Honest to
God, Britney Spears. The lead singer pranced around like a poor-man's
Steven Tyler. I kept praying the guitarist would knock himself out with his
guitar. Never happened. I hope they never get a record deal.
Well, for this week's Kelly Kolloum Challenge, if you can correctly answer
what song I really wanted to hear at the concert, you'll win a t-shirt that
says "I took the Kelly Kolloum Challenge." E-mail me at
jennyp@bgnet.bgsu.edu
if you think you know the answer. It'll be extra special.
Until next time, give it away now! :*, Kelly
