It's not going fast enough... |

(Note: by the time Fuffy gets this up on the website, I'll
be home. But I thought I'd give you a glimpse of my life with 144 hours
left in Ohio.)
I have only 6 days left in Bowling Green, Ohio. And I couldn't be happier.
Little drummer boy was at it again last night until 5 AM! I don't know
what his deal is, but I hope that when his stereo blows up, it maims him in
the process.
One of my students, who hasn't been to class in two months and never turned
in any of their work wants to know why they're failing the class. This kid
whined to his/her parents, and they emailed me about it. First off, parents
should not be yelling at professors/TAs since their children are "adults."
Secondly, maybe if their kid had made an attempt to do some work, then they
would probably pass. Why is it my problem if the kid is going to get kicked
out of school?
And as some of you may know, I'm applying for a job to work on the
governor's election campaign. I got to thinking on that looooong drive back
from Indy, if I get this job and BGSU History thinks they're putting that in
the "win" coloum for themselves concerning job placement, they have another
thing coming. They didn't even help me find that job- one of my professors
from my UNDERGRAD did! What does this say about the history department?
You can make your own decision but I think [Censored by the FCC and
right-wing nuts everywhere] and it'll probably hurt once it's pulled out.
The only good spot in my last days here? I got to see Kill Bill 2 for $3.
That's right- $3!!! Uma Thurman kicks so much ass, she's my new hero,
after Shirley Manson of Garbage. And Daryl Hannah as the evil Elle
Driver... can I say best catfight ever?! I cannot wait to see this movie
again. The other cheap theatre has the movie that I saw in France playing,
so I may go check that out before I leave.
Tune in two weeks from now where I tell everyone about my trip to DC with my
friend Kelly. Will two females be able to survive sharing one bathroom in a
hotel room for 4 days? Can Kel stop worrying about life for 5 minutes? Can
I keep from spending more than $200? The answers will be revealed in two
weeks!
