As I mentioned in my last kolloum, my friend and I took a
trip to Washington D.C. to do some sightseeing and generally relax. She's
got this crazy job and is having a crazy wedding in a few months, and well,
y'all know my story. So we decided in January to take a trip and have fun
before she gets married. Overall, the trip went well, minus the bumpy
flight back, my mom and her fiancé picking fights with us, and the
outrageous menu that the hotel had for room service. One of the more
memorable items was a $13 hamburger. Oh, and our cab driver got lost on the
way to the hotel. Let me explain something really quick- we stayed 2 blocks
away from the Capitol, one of the major tourist attractions in D.C. And yet
our cabbie couldn't find where we were to go. How are you a cab driver and
not know where anything is?? Good gawd! |
