The Better Way

The better way to go

Is the way I've chosen for us

To stay friends,

For me its not good at all

But for you its the better way,

I know how much I love you

And I know how much I love others

I love you to the point where I can't do that to you

So I keep us as friends,

Because its better this way

For you and me

Despite my feelings that I hide

I hide and push back into the darkness

You do not need to know my feelings

It will only make things so much worse,

I want to stay your friend,

I can always have a friend

I can still love a friend without hurting them
