Ayane was a lot of fun to make.  I used a long plastic tube in the bow, made in the shape of a figure 8 so it would retain its strength.  The thigh highs I dyed and I even ended up dying my own shoes.  I cut the wig on my own, so this was a pretty high tech costume.  About the only aspect I didn't make for myself was the butterfly on her skirt.  It was a bit customized because it was originally 2 butterflies each facing sideways, but I put them together and made them one big butterfly.
