I have to say now that Selphie is as much a creation of mine as my mother's. I didn't know how to use a sewing machine at the time this costume was made, so I relied on mom for much of that help. I did insist on topstitching and the full length zipper, however. There isn't much to this costume.

For fabric we bought white jean material and dyed it yellow using Rit dye. With a pattern for a short dress from Jo-Ann Fabrics, we were on our way.

My nunchucks were made from wooden rods bought at a hardware store with a chain drilled into each. Power tools compliments of Dad and I do apologize to all the poor employees at NDK 00 who were likely frustrated because I wanted to carry the nunchuks everywhere I went.
