Synopsis: Isabelle, or Issy to her friends, is a shy, unassuming young author who just happened to make it big. Her stories are retellings of Arthurian legends, you know, King Arthur and the Round Table. Her most recent book, and the most popular, is The Tragedy of Tristan and Isolde. She lives only for books, a true bibliophile. Unbeknownst to her, she is the Arthurain character, Isolde reborn, and through dreams, can find her way into the distant past. Though she seems the type to be loyal, she's always dating, yet never happy in a relationship. This is tragic, because the one thing dhe yearns for is to be in love as deeply as her two favorite chasacters from her books, Tristan and Isolde. She and her girlfriend, Maggie have been together for about four months, but she is subconsiously unsatisfied. She is rather bohemian in her dress, choosing long skirts and peasant blouses over jeans and t-shirts any day.

Synopsis: Christian, or Chris, is the scholarly type, always with his nose in a book. He hails originally from Penryn, Cornwall, in England, but he's lived in the US for a few years. He's still in college, studying to be a teacher of Medieval Studies. His newest passion is the Arthurian saga by Isabelle O'Connor, and when he learns that she lives in the same city as he, he makes a point to find out what library she uses for her research, so he can meet her. Chris is the Arthurian character Tristan reborn, which he figures out through troubling dreams. Chris is the type to be reserved and cautious when entering a relationship, but when he falls, he falls for good, body, heart and soul. He's been dating Eliza for the past year, or so, and does love her, in a way, but not body, heart and soul. Chris is fairly conservative in his dress, wearing mostly earth tones; khakis, greens and greys that suit his temperment, yet somehow seem vibrant on him.

Synopsis: Margaret, also known as Maggie, or Mags, is the diametric opposite of Isabelle. Their friends wonder how they manage to get along well enough to maintain a relationship. Maggie is a partier, if anyone is having a party or get-together, Mags is there. She has a finger in every social pie in the city, and everyone knows her. Maggie owns a fledgling webpage design company that's just starting to get off the ground. Her life's ambition is to be able to look at the most prominent webpage on the internet and say, "Yeah, I did that." Maggie is the Arthurian character King Mark reborn. Though she seems to be the type who enjoys infidelity, she is deeply devoted to Isabelle, so much so that she can't bear to think about life without her girlfriend, but she doesn't know that Issy doesn't feel as strongly about her. Mags tends to dress in flashy, party-worthy cloths, lots of short skirts, tight pants, tight shirts, tight anything. ^_^

Synopsis: Eliza is straightforward, blunt, and unmerciful in criticism. She can be blunt to the point of rudeness without realizing it. She's one of those "I'd want you to tell me if I look bad in an outfit, so I'll tell you when you do" people. She's in college to be a lawyer, that's where she met Chris. She decided that she wanted him, and so set about getting him with all the single-minded determination she could muster, and eventually got him. But now that the thrill of the chase is gone, she's not as happy with him as she thought she might be. Eliza is the Arthurian character Yseult (pronounced: EE-sult, like Yvonne, but different ^_^) reborn. She tends to dress in preppy clothes; khakis or knee-length skirts, button-down shirts, etc.

Synopsis: Breanna and Issy have been best friends since high school, and Bree has a startlingly deep loyalty to her friend. Strictly platonic, yet surprising to snyone who doesn't know them. Breanna is a laid-back, come as you are sort of person. Nothing really shocks her, and she expects the rest of the world to be as collected as she is. Bree works at the library where Issy writes, and helps her out by unofficially editing Isabelle's manuscripts. She's the Arthurian character Brangian reborn. Her clothes tend to reflect her mellowness; she dressed in loose jeans and tank tops that show off her tattoo. If it's chilly she'll add a flannel to the ensamble.

Geoffrey Monmouth

Synopsis: Geoff (pronounced: jeff) is a friend of Chris' from school in England. Chris convinced him to come and visit and Geoff just never left, and eventually became Chris' roommate. He's the screwball of the group, really out there. He's got the accent going for him, but he's the type of guy who would wear a t-shirt that says "Fancy a F*ck?" on the first date. He and Chris are really close, though, and Geoff would never tell a secret or gossip about what Chris tells him. However, he will tell Chris anything and everything that anyone else tells him. He doesn't really approve of Eliza, but won't say anything against her. Geoff works at the local Blockbuster, making just enough money to pay his half of the rent, buy himself food and have a few bucks petty cash left over each paycheck. Geoff is the Arthurian character Gorvenal reborn. His clothes? Well, he throws all his laundry together in the wash, and then puts on whatever comes to hand first. He usually looks like a ragamuffin, unless he's trying to impress someone. (see T-shirt comment above)
