AOP: What is the band doing at the moment?

Anders: At the moment we are on a break, recharging the batteries to get ready to do a new album soon.

AOP: Have you got any tours planned?

Anders: Hm... not really. There are some plans, but nothing is really decided yet.

AOP: What is your favourite country when it comes to things like arenas and fans?

Anders: Our last tour was in Japan and I must say that things are really cool there. Wellorganized shows and nice fans everywhere. But most countries are cool for us.

AOP: What inspired you to create the band, Nasum?

Anders: To put it short, grindcore was a music style we've listen to for a couple of years and we liked it a lot and decided to give it a try, just for the fun of it. Well, it worked out kinda fine, don't you think...

AOP: Who has inspired your career the most?

Anders: Well, musically I guess that Napalm Death always have been our biggest source of inspiration, and touring with them during the fall of 2000 really hit the spot.

AOP: Nasum have worked with many different bands in the past. Who would you say were the best to work with? and why?

Anders: Of all the bands we've toured or played with I would say that Exhumed, Skitsystem, Daybreak, Napalm Death, Nostromo, The Haunted and Nine have been the best band we've gotten along with. They all rule!

AOP: What made you decide you needed a bass player back in '99

Anders: It felt like it was about time. We got more and more (and better and better) offers to play live, so we put a little effort in it and found a suiting bassplayer.

AOP: What is your favourite song? and favourite album?

Anders: Ouch - this is really impossible to say. I mean, it really changes daily, depending on the mood, weather, whatever really. I prefere not to answer that question.

AOP: What are your views on the position of Metal today and the different syles? (You can shit on Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park here if you want)

Anders: It seems like the the metal scene is on some kind of rotation about what's the most popular thing. It kind of changes from time to time. The good thing is that you can always continue to listen to what you think is good, unless you follow the trends and only listen to what's popular.

AOP: And finally: Do You Have Any funny stories about your career that you can share with us?

Anders: No, not really. Sorry for being the boring one. There's a tour diary from the tour with Napalm Death available at www.nasum.com. It has some pretty funny stuff. I suggest that you read that one! Thanks for the interview.
