Albums of Purgatory: Firstly, whats the band up to?

 

Anders Odden: We're in the writing process on a new album, and it's very interseting as we all contribute to the songwriting now. So far we have 4 songs ready, but we're not recording until nov/des so it's plenty of time to make great stuff.

AoP: How would you describe the Cadaver Inc sound?

 

AO: Metallic and extreme.

AoP: How did the band begin in 99?

AO: It was a lucky conbination of me starting to play metal again with Satyricon and that Czral and LJ was ready to for the band at the same time.

AoP: What sort of reaction have you been getting from your 'corpse disposal' website?

 

AO: The reactions has been overwhelming and it stand on it's own feet still as the link directly to the corpse removal site is so widespread lots of people still go there without knowing it's a band behind the scam. It's been very funny first of all, but also freaky at times when people from China and Brazil want to work for us etc.

AoP: Can you remember your first gig (how did it go)?

 

AO: We opened for Satyricon and Enslaved in 1999 and it was a great feeling being back on stage with a fullblown metalband again!

AoP: What are your favourite Cadaver Inc tracks?

AO: Right now the songs we're making for the next record. On the album I think "Primal" stand out.

AoP: What are your favourite all time songs?

AO: Beastial Invasion, Ravenous Medicine, At dawn they Sleep, Into the crypt of Rays.

 

AoP: What was the first record you bought?

AO: My very first record was a norwegian glam band called: The Kids - Son of Norway

AoP: What would be your dream band line-up?

AO: I'm in my dreamlineup.

AoP: What do you think of the position of metal and music in general today?

AO: It's as always the underdog of music which is why it creates great fans. Music today is very widespread and the variety of how to access music online etc. have certainly expanded the way music in heared and how. Music is my life.

AoP: Do you have any unusual or funny stories about the band you can share with us?

AO: Well, unusual stories are not always fun, but we just came home from a tour in hell (USA) where the touragent turned out to be wanted by the police and was arrested half way into the tour. We fimled the whole trip so we might wanna make a new Spinal Tap out of it! Aeryn Van Sickle AKA Aaron Van Zant is his name AND DONT YOU FORGET IT!

AoP: and finally, what do you see in the future for cadaver Inc?

AO: Our future depend on our creative wibe within the band, and as long as it feels right we'll stay on making music!
