the innovator is back with his seventh full length with his Danzig band and just like always he's come up with a list of slow, dark heavy metal songs. He still sounds in agony as he cries over the top of simple but effective loud bass. There's no doubting his musical talent and you can hear why he garners so much respect when you listen to this album but apart from an attempt at a RHCP style rap song with 'Wicked Pussycat' (which is one of the better tracks) you can't help but feel there isn't much difference between this and his earlier albums. Fans should most definitely go and get this and it's certainly not bad for anyone else. As long as you don't expect any surprises, you'll find this is the most consitent Danzig have been in a while.-G- |
