Albums of Purgatory: First of all how did you come to replace Yench on bass.

Joe Lombard: After Rob left the band, John and Kyle asked me to help out on the
European Tour in August, 2001.  It went really well and things progressed
from there.

AoP: How difficult was it to learn a whole catalogue of tracks?

JL: Child's play.  Just kidding!  It was a lot of work.   First I needed to
learn the set for the European tour.  Then I came back and had to learn
and record the songs for the new album and also learn some other songs
for the upcoming tours.

AoP: What is your history before Incantation?

JL: I don't really have a history.

AoP: Who are your influences?

JL: Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Randy Coven.

AoP: What is your favourite metal song?

JL: Heaven & Hell-Black Sabbath or Black Magic-Slayer.  I don't know, it's
hard to pick 1.

AoP: Which venues do you like to play at the most?

JL: I am looking forward to playing the House of Blues in Chicago on the
upcoming tour with Cannibal Corpse.  I haven't really had any experience
touring, but the coolest show I've played with them so far was the Party
San Fest in Germany which was outdoors.

AoP: What is your dream metal line up?

JL: Steve Harris (bass), Tony Iommi and Yngwie Malmsteen (guitars),   Ronny
James Dio (vocals) and Mike Portnoy (drums).

AoP: Do you have any funny stories you can share with us?

JL: None right now - maybe after we start touring.

AoP: Finally, what do you see in the future for Incantation?

JL: Once the new album is released, we have a lot of good things lined up -
starting with the us tour with Cannibal Corpse and Dark Funeral, and
other tours in the works.  I am really looking forward to everything!
