Albums of Purgatory Interview Gorgoroth's King of Hell
Albums of Purgatory: Firstly, whats the band up to?
King of Hell: At the moment the situation concidering Gorgoroth is a bit uncertain. Our
vocalist Ghaal is in prison. He`s sentenced to jail for at least one year. Tormentor is no
longer in the band. So we`re working on the new album as a trio at the moment. We`re
starting the recordings in June. It`s going to be a brutal piece, more like the first
Gorgoroth albums.
AoP: How would you describe the sound of Gorgoroth?
KoH: The sound has changed a bit during the albums. From pentagram to Incipit
Satan. But it`s still true Norwegian black metal. One of the few remaining.
AoP: How did you come to be a part of Gorgoroth?
KoH: I knew Infernus a couple of years before I joined the band. He asked if I wanted
to join. And I did.
AoP: What is your history before Gorgoroth?
KoH: I grew up, Ate some food. Learned to play bass. Went to school.
Next question!!
AoP: What was your first gig (performing)? How did it go?
KoH: It was in Strassburgh, France. `99.
AoP: What are your favourite Gorgoroth tracks?
KoH: There are many good ones like: Possesed by Satan, Bergtrollets hevn, Destoyer osv
AoP: What are your favourite all time songs?
KoH: I don`t know!
AoP: What was the first record you bought?
KoH: I don`t remember. Probably something for kids.
AoP: What do you think of the position of metal and music in general
today?
KoH: In my opinion there`s a lot of shitty bands performing black and death today. Bands
with no personality. No agenda. But afterall there are some exeptions.
AoP: Do you have any unusual stories about the band you can share
with us?
KoH: No!
AoP: and finally, what do you see in the future for Gorgoroth?
KoH: We`ll probably do the same as now. Rehearse, make albums, give concerts
and do our best to crush the weak and meaningless.
