DOOM METAL

At a time when a lot of Doom Metal bands like Tiamat and Theatre of Tragedy have gone for a computer sound on recent albums, Moonspell have stayed loyal to there sound of Heavy and Beauty. Fernando Ribeiro's vocal switches was one of those things that amazed me the first time I heard it on Irreligious (more specifically, Opium) and I still shake my head in amazement as I listen to it again on this album. Tracks like In and Above Men and Everything Invaded ensure this album is equally as good as anything else they've done, which is astounding considering they have released seven albums since 1994 and havent released anything below superb. Moonspell are amazing and if you havent heard them yet then here is the Antidote.
