Nu-METAL

With such an accomplished line-up for this side-project it has potential to be great.  When I listened to this album I couldn't help but feel that it had been deliberately written using the Nu-Metal rule book.  When In Flames released Reroute to Remain last year the vocals surprised a lot of people.  I tried to get used to it and just hoped they wouldn't go any further towards the style of many a nu-metal band.  Then when I heard this I realised Anders Friden had done just that.  Each song has potential that is tarred by a sound that is recycled over and over whenever a new metal band appears on the radio.
