THRASH  METAL

After listening to the recent live CD over and over again without it going back in its case for about three months, I found out it would son be accompanied by a DVD.  I had to get a hold of that, so here I am and I'm very happy with what I've seen.  It's a double disc.  the first is the same performance from Asbury Park as the CD only it has the full two hour show. I sat and rocked to the whole show with a grin on my face.  I'm relatively new to Overkill so the additional songs (totaling 23 tracks) were new to me but they were every bit as good as the ones on the album.

the second disc is an hour and a half long insight into the history and road stories of Overkill with interviews with DD Verni and Bobby Blitz as well as Dave Linsk and Tim Mallare.  There is also some great live footage on here from throughout there twenty year history with more songs I'd never heard that made me wonder whether these guys have ever put out a bad track? I now doubt that very much.

So, If your a fan of Overkill, you already know you must buy this but if your new to Overkill, you should buy the Wrecking Everything Live CD and, whilst wallowing in its magnificance, get used to the songs.  Then buy the DVD, watch the whole performance and rock to tracks like Thunderhead and It Lives which you recently discovered and then you can watch the interviews and realise how true and dedicated this band really is and find out almost everything you need to know.
