Dr. Marcel Petiot

Smoke was coming from the chimney across the street of Madame Marcais' home, so she demanded that her husband, Jacques, did something about the problem. It was in the middle of the World Was Two, and Paris had been under German in almost 4 years. Jacques decided to investigate the problem, and when he went to their neighbors house, he could see it was old and wrecked, even though it had been the home of, Princesses Colloredo de Mansfield, who moved in 1930. The door was locked, but there was a note, who said: "Will be gone all month, please forward my mail to: Rue de Lombards 18 in Auwerre" Jacques called the police, and a short while after, two policemen showed up. There were no way the could enter the house, but a lady in the neighborhood claimed that a the house was owned by Dr. Marcel Petiot, who lived across town. The lady who gave them this information, also had a phone number, and the police use her phone. Marcel told them he would be there in 15 minutes, but when a half hour passed by, and he hadn't showed up, the policemen decided to call the fire department! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Three firemen showed up, and they entered the house through a window. A short while after the came chocked back out on the street. One of them threw up. The smoke was coming from the boiler in the basement, and from its opening there was something that looked just like a hand from a woman. The basement was, literally, covered with human flesh, skeletons and human heads. One of the policemen called for backup, from a little coffeehouse, and on his way back he met a man who said he was the owner of the house. They showed him the bodies in the basement, and soon he explained that they all were French traitors or Germans. He told the policemen that he was a part of a French Resistant Movement, and that was the reason of the bloodbath the policemen had discovered in the basement. Proud of being French, and with hate to the Germans, the Policemen told the man to get away while he could, and so he did. At that time the policemen didn't know, that they had just experienced Frances biggest liar, and mass-murderer Dr. Marcel Petriot. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When the police searched Petriots home, they found a hole in the wall, which had been used by the Doctor to watch his victim’s struggling with the chains he used to tie them up with. He would watch them until their death, which was caused by poison or gas. Then he would chop them up, and burn the parts in the boiler. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Later that day, one of the police officers received a telegram from the police quarter, where in it was written that Marcel Petriot also was wanted by the German police, with residence in France, and that they should find and arrest him at once, but when he went to the place he called the day before, he discovered that Marcel and his wife both had disappeared. Instead he went to the address Marcel had written on the note he hang on the door, the day before, and he found out, that it was the home of Marcel’s 10 years younger brother, Maurice. At once he denied everything that had been found in his brother’s home. Maurice also told him, that he hadn't seen his brother in over a month, so the policemen went home, but without believing in the brother’s story. He asked the local police to keep an eye on him, and Maurice was arrested the next morning, after he tried to get on the train with his Marcel’s wife Georgette Petriot, and they came to a police station in Paris. Georgette told that she wanted to take her son to the city Auxerre after her husbands went away. Then she passed out. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When the police tried to investigate Georgettes statement, they met Hotel owner; Alicot, who told them that Marcel Petriot always used his hotel, when he was in Paris to do business, and that he had been using it for three years, and that he had been there in February. Alicot told the police that Marcel had arrived in a big van. A couple of days later, the driver of the van called the police, and said that the story was true, and that he had transported chalk to Marcels residence. Because of this statement Maurice broke down, and admitted that his brother had been with him, and that he had asked him to get in touch with the chalk, which he said, should be used to get rid of cockroaches. The 17th og March Maurice was convicted of an accomplice in murderer, and he was put in jail. Maurice kept claiming that he never saw, or knew about any bodies in his brothers house. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UNDER CONSTRUCTION
